I am new at this, so I will only post to see if I open up a new thread.
The real message will be when I answer this post, just to see if it works.
I've posted some but not started one.

I guess we are on the air! This is mostly for the moderators, but everyone is welcome to jump in! I have kept quiet for a while, but I really believe it is time to open up a separate discussion board for Disney Vets who have helped spread the magic and to encourage others to do the same. We have gone twice, third time in November. The first time we didn't spread the magic, because we were so eager, except for the bus thing.. coming up. On the second trip we did spread some magic!! Here are three semi quick stories about what I think this new borad could do. Story one, a Disney Dad ALWAYS gives up a seat on the busses for someone else, when the bus is loaded. I've done this many times, but the one time was special. The bus was totally loaded with many people standing. I saw a single father, I guess, with a 3 or 4 year old child, both standing. I offered him my seat and he initially declined, saying they would be OK. I insisted telling this buff dude(a really strong guy), that the kid needed to sit down. He accepted and when he got off ten minutes later he was very thankful. Hey, all I did was stand for 10 minutes, but that is what Disney Dads do.
Story two. I must speed up. Sitting at Epcot to board the monorail to MK, I ask my daughter to see if we could ride up front. A single mom, I guess, with a young boy sends her boy up for the same deal. The conductor says only four can ride so the mom says they can't ride up front.
I say sure you can, (I was up front the day before), I'll ride in the back. Their smiles were so huge, that the thank you I got didn't seem to even matter.
Story three. I love fast track, the reason we went in 1997 was to do it. It wasn't open. We went back in 1999 and it was great ! By good planning, we hit it twice in fifteen minutes. Later we went and got fastpass. When we returned the line was 75 minutes for everyone else. We had planned to ride the ride and then go to lunch. We saw a couple with one child, like us, and the dad was saying something like the wait was too long. We offered them our fast passes, went into the shop to browse and got new fast passes!! Instead of riding before lunch we rode after lunch!! Everyone won!!
IMHO I think you should open up a board for this. I'm sure there are many people who have done things far better than my meager stories, but if we share them maybe the DIS Vets will get some ideas on how to spread the magic to newbies!

WE spread some magic ... Last fall, 2000 we won a total paid trip for 4 days/5 nights at Disney World..from AAA travel agency. Our choice on moderate hotel on the resort - 4 paid hopper tickets for 4 people
( only 3 went. ) Free Airlines just had to pay for food/souvenirs....
Anyway we of course went an extra day with an the extra tickets but still had 3 left for the last
day we were leaving.. We were exhausted so we rode the bus over to MK.. Took some last pictures of train, view over the lake, etc and decided instead of going back in the park for just an hour - had to head back to catch our towncar to airport...
WE spread some MAGIC & WE GAVE OUR 3 TICKETS TO A FAMILY that was getting ready to buy daily tickets at the guest service window......

It's funny how WDW brings this out in people! It's the type of place that just makes you smile. I always find myself talking to different people while waiting in line or at the resort laundry room(something not many of us feel comfortable doing in the real world.) Great thread! I'm sure the families you spread pixie dust on appreciate it and will tell their family and friends about what nice people are in WDW.:D

I would love to see a board about this. Disney Magic is incredible, and sharing in the Magic by doing random acts of kindness will only highten your trip. And just think of the lessons you are teaching and showing your children. RANDOM ACTS........

Just another thought, so many times I have read about someone's bad experinces at Disney World, and maybe if just one person had shown them Disney Kindness it could have changed their entire outlook on their trip.

Disneefamily, you sound like a very special Disney family. I hope some others who complain about why they should be expected to give up bus seats to children, or similar other topics I've seen floating around, see your post and catch the magic.
