Disney Cruise with broken (sea) leg

So my adventurous adult daughter broke her leg last week (she fell while boldering) and we are now only 24 days away from our mother-daughter-grandaughter cruise. Darling Granddaughter (5) and I (47) are fine. Darling daughter is in a boot and on crutches. There is a possibility she might get clearance to use a cane before we leave but we can't count on it.

This does change her plans of running the Castaway Cay 5k but we're still going to have a wonderful time. I was wondering if anyone here has any advice for navigating a Disney Cruise with a broken leg. Anyone got any tips or suggestions?

Thanks in Advance

One thing to look into are those "rolling canes". It is like a scooter and put your knee of the booted leg on it and just scoot around with the other leg. It would be a million times easier than crutches and a lot easier than a cane.

I went shopping online for a rolling cane and discovered something she will like even better!

I broke my leg and ankle about two weeks before my cruise and was unable to put any weight on it. I used the knee scooter on the cruise which worked out really well. I would recommend trying to switch to an HA room. The bathroom of the HA is a lot easier to get around in with the scooter. I also have the IWalk (pictured above) but it was more of a pain because I had to take it off and on all the time (sitting down briefly, going to the bathroom, etc) so I didn't use it much. You can really get around quickly on the knee scooter. I also added a bike basket to the front to carry things.

Just got off a cruise and one of our table mates used this. He was gliding all over the place.
