Hi

We are thinking about going on a cruise when we visit Orlando in 2016

I am looking at prices and have notice the different in prices

For people who have gone on Disney cruises and non Disney cruise what is the different between both.

Your help is much apprenticed

We have done DCL and Princess. I won't go back to Princess.
DCL
-Much better adult pool, on the princess it was hard to find a place by the pool in the sun, Pool area was clean and adult pool never seemed overcrowded .p- had outdoor carpeting at the pool area that was filthy which set me off. Nasty stuff
- Food was good better than Princess but princess did some things better. P- had much better buffet choices and hours. P- anytime dining for dinner in which we could get a table for two( but had to wait)
- DCL lets u bring your own alcohol of any kind. Big money saver
- DCL was much less crowded Getting of at ports was way easier
- Castaway Cay was a million times better than Serenity Island
- Fitness center at DCL better equipped and better lay out

Not a huge cruising fan but DCL was much better but costs so much more

I'll be doing my 5th cruise in a few weeks time on Celebrity. Each cruise so far has been with a different company, including a couple of fairly budget ones.

My Disney cruise on the Fantasy was my favourite cruise to date, however this doesn't mean I'll be limiting myself to only Disney cruises from now on. There are pros and cons to all options - one of them, like you mention, being the price.

I wouldn't rate Disney food any higher than any other cruise I have done (which was a bit disappointing given the price) and I also think there are cruise companies out their that offer better itineraries.

However, as far as offering entertainment that pleases all ages, and beautifully designed ships, Disney is second to none. It was a stretch for our budget to cruise Disney, but I'm pleased we did.

If there are no children in your party, you might want to look into Celebrity as they offer quite a few adult enrichment activities.
If you're a really sporty, active family, Royal Caribbean might suit you as well.

At the end of the day, pick a cruise that suits your budget and visits ports that interest you, and I'm pretty confident you will have a great time. Particularly if you are a first time cruiser with no benchmark for comparison.

My second favourite cruise was on a ship I didn't actually like (Costa Victoria), but the Ports were so stunningly beautiful it caused me to fall in love with cruising in the first place.

Whatever you choose, have a fantastic time.

Thanks for the responds I appreciate your time

As i have said still looking around at this stage
