Several of you asked us to post the Lego Wonder on Lego Ideas (Cuusoo) so that it'd have a chance of becoming a real Lego model. (I guess that's kinda like Pinocchio) We modified the idea to cover not just the Wonder, but also plans for any of the 4 ships (but we've only built the Wonder so far).

Here's the link https://ideas.lego.com/projects/63519 if you want to take a look at it.

Amazing work!
As huge lego fans of sets like these...we have to have all 4 of them!

Just supported you..and really hope this gets the support it needs.

Just supported it as well..As a LEGO lover and a Disney Cruise lover this would be the perfect set for me!! I think I would have to have all four as well...I can see this becoming a more expensive habit :lmao: :thumbsup2

over 4000 bricks, which makes it around $250 or so for pricing at best guess (assuming they are not paying Disney. if they are, figure $300 or so).

In comparison, the Castle Medieval Village is 1600 pieces and cost around $100 new. Most Lego sets are based on brick cost. The more bricks, the higher the cost.

Although my approved budget for Lego sets is $100, I'm sure I'll be able to convince DW! Looks amazing!

Now, let's spread the word and vote for it! Done and done!

Awesome! Thanks for posting it.

For reference, we just bought the Star Wars Sand Crawler for $299. It's 3276 pieces and has 13 minifigures. I imagine a 4500 piece set would be $400 or $450, especially if it came with Disney minifigures. I think people would buy it!

Love it...We have over 30 rubbermaid large bins of legos.... Perhaps my summer project will be the Fantasy.. Though I doubt it will be anywhere as nice as yours..

It's always fun to try anyway. Find lots of photos to use for references for the best shot. Unfortunately I didn't have the right bricks and had to buy a lot on Bricklink.

Thanks for all the support everyone. As to the cost, my "rule of thumb" is 10 cents/brick, but Lego's been breaking that recently, particularly with the branded sets. And the Cuusoo sets are even worse. However there are lots of little water bricks to help some. Still I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted $450-$500 at this size.

If there's enough interest but the price is too high, then maybe I can scale it down by 1/2 or something. I have a tiny version (that got an award at Brickcon even!) which is only a couple hundred bricks, which is definitely more affordable, and would be easier to find room for, but doesn't quite have the same impact.

Thanks for the support folks, we just reached 100 supporters, so 1% of the way there! Sharing with others might help!

My 9yo - "Wow! That is AMAZING! I couldn't even tell it was lego at first!"

Thanks. I really like that first picture.

I photoshopped it (actually more like Paint.Net'd it) onto a real glamor shot on the plane home from the cruise. I expected to need to redo it with a real program/computer, but it turned out good enough that I haven't bothered.

Have you thought about doing one with nanoblocks?

FWIW, it didn't come close to making it :( However lots of folks asked us to relist it, so if you like the Lego Ideas Disney Wonder, please vote for the new listing... It isn't going to stand a chance without tons of support. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/128153
