Hello Everyone! I was really happy to stumble across this forum. I just got engaged last two weeks ago! :) My fiance and I knew we wanted to have a disney cruise wedding. I've been going on them since I was 5 (24 now) and we are both military so it's too hard to try to figure out what state to have a wedding. This way both sides of our family get to go to a wedding and a vacation! We are going on the 7 day western caribbean cruise. I've already booked through my travel agent and had the disney wedding planner pencil it in. I just had some questions and appreciate any advise from ladies who've gone before!

1) Has anyone had their wedding on the ship before? How was it? I'd want to have mine the first day at sea so then it's just vacation time after that.

2) Any idea how much the photography pkg is for the wedding?

3) Is there seperate rooms where the bride and groom can get ready? Or do we just use our staterooms?

I appreciate any extra advise!

Congrats and welcome! :welcome:

1. There are lots of brides who have had onboard weddings, if you haven't already, check out this thread, it's all things DCL weddings!

Look at people's signatures for links to read all about their specific event.

I believe the captain generally chooses the day you get married onboard.

2. There are three photo packages, and I'm sure the pricing will vary for 2011. You could expect somewhere in the vicinity of $1000 for an assortment of prints and CD.

We had great success with DCL photography, but at times it seems to be hit and miss, so some brides have chosen to bring along their own photographer.

3. I don't believe there are separate rooms to get ready. We used our stateroom. :thumbsup2

Congratulations:

1. If you are on the 7 day cruise, we could only have it on a sea day; unless you are having your ceremony on CC. We chose the Thurs. so I would be tanner...;)

Congrats!!!!!!:) I am getting married on the Eastern Nov 6th 2010. I was told that are ceremony would be on Thurs because they do it on the last sea day. I too would have prefered it to be sooner than later but that is what we were told. For photos the price starts at $349.95 and goes up from there to the most expensive at $999.95. You can also buy extra at an additional fee. I was trying to copy and paste my planner and price guide but couldn't.

Yes go to the link that pinkcow provided!!! It is sooo amazing! I've been reading it for about a week, and literally probably about 5 hours just today! :) Those ladies have all done it, and really know what they are talking about!!!

We are doing a vow renewal in May 2011, so I've started reading and asking questions, to make everything as seamless as possible! Check it out!!! You will get all your answers and more!!

Oh and CONGRATS!
