ohMom - So sorry to hear about your flooded basement! What a pain to deal with!!

The element groups are 2 elements. Some people like to make extra items, but only 2 elements are required.

Paper piecing can be the Cricut ones. They are fine by themselves, or you can use them to embellish another element.

Altered letters are 2". They don't necessarily need to match, but should coordinate with the theme.

Lots of us on the DIS can really feel your pain ohMom. Were you able to save the carpet? I am so glad you were able to get it up and keep mold from growing in your basement. Hope the repairs are simple and fast.

AWM....unfortunately the trash man picked up the carpet today...lots of homes in our development had same problem...if only the power had held up. there was a small tornado in our area...it's scary

Thanks! I hadn't realized how many altered letter Ss I had to do! "Freezing" the rope for that pelican letter S was challenging. The other ladies at the crop saw all my earlier attempts to get the rope stiffened into an S shape without looking like there was anything (glue, etc.) on the rope...!

The shimmery silver S is cool too - just a really bad photo. The paper is a neat holographic fish one from Absolutely Everything that really looks great with the sea green glittery seaweed (it is NOT that sickly yellow color as shown in the photo!)

I do have all my other groups in progress, but I'm still adding stuff to them, so they aren't ready for photo time yet. This is a fun swap!

Please forgive me if this was asked already...do you want the letters for the letter groups bagged individually? I have A in Dream...so 5 seperate bags into a bigger or 1 bag with all 5?

Good question, LOVEMY3KIDDOS! What do the others in the letter groups think? I know they usually are packaged individual, but personally I wouldn't have a problem with all of the letters in one bag. Would save on bags, and on bulk when packaging to mail. Thoughts, ladies?

I like less bags. It is the green thing to do.

I prefer to have all letters for each swapper in an individual bag. So if there are 5 people in a group, then 5 bags, even if you have 2 or 3 letters. I had some trouble sorting letters without pulling embellishments off of them when they were all the letters in one bag. And they shifted around just enough in transit and got layers in between layers of another piece.

I will post pix when I finish...have not taken any of what I have finished up to now. Everything is bagged and tagged as I am going also...which means I have to unbag to photograph. But, that's no biggie!!!! I guess I should learn my lesson!

I am getting ready to leave in a bit to go pick my son up from wrestling camp...then take him to baseball practice right from there

If you can wait until tomorrow, I can just go ahead and post everything that I have done so far. We won't be back until around 8:30 or 9:00 tonight and I'm not sure I will want to do it then?? LOL I will be delerious by then!!!!

I am finishing up the resort swap and then on to this. I have my papers I need and it should go fast.

Mom is working on her groups and they sound really cute. She is at the beach so has lots of inspiration.

I've been working on the cruise swap today...

I finished (or am in the process of finishing up) the following:

Group H: Pirates

I also baked a cake, so I feel like today was very productive.
