Disney Cruise Line robes

Am I missing something here? If you buy a robe on board it's about $130, but if you order the romance package from the DCL website, you get two robes, and alcohol as well for $125?

That would be a no brainer then for anyone wanting a robe.

From what I can tell the quality of the robes is different but I agree.

We bought the 2 robe package in August for our two sons. They are definitely better than the waffle robe that you get to use in the shower area in the spa. I would describe them as a plusher robe that is similar to, but not as plush as the robes we got in concierge or in the store onboard the Fantasy. That robe costs around $130.00 and it is of better quality, but we felt that the package robes were worth the money we paid for them and our boys like them a lot.

Thanks for the pics! Those are exactly what I was hoping to see. Not a waffle weave!

All packed and ready to go .. along with extra space for the return!

These are different now apparently. I can confirm that the robes are very nice and soft. We just got off the Disney Fantasy on Saturday (Oct. 22).. the attached picture is the design on our robes.

I like them both, but I think the one with Mickey seems more "classy" and befitting.

Here is the robe that was offered on the Wonder in May. I purchased the Touch of Romance (non alcoholic) for my daughter. She loves the robe but just as a reminder make sure you leave enough room in your luggage to get it home :)View attachment 201187 View attachment 201188 [/GALLERY]

That's nothing like the ones in the store, for what it's worth. We have two of the store ones and they are really, really soft on the inside, with a separate cloth outside shell. They have inside pockets. These were bought in 2013, so the logo is from that period. Don't know if it has changed. Our Concierge robes were exactly the same. Very, very high quality.

Yes, that robe logo looks the same as the one we saw in the store on-board the ship. I didn't expect the package robes to be anywhere near that nice (now $130 per robe for the one you have.) But the two we received are very well made and a great gift package (chocolates, rose and Prosecco included) for the $125 +tax. And the rose lasted the entire week! Talk about some kind of magic.

This was the "loaner robe" that they gave us when we requested bath robes. I really liked it.

I just got off the Wonder and had purchased the robe, I received the one that @strycker posted. OMG...it is so soft and was so worth it to me. My daughter and I wore them every time we were in our stateroom and even wore it to bed sometimes. My husband, not so much but as a PP mentioned, it was only 30 something dollars more.
The best I can describe the feeling of the robe is that it is like those fuzzy blankets that are all the rage right now that they sell everywhere like Costco, Target, etc. Very cozy and warm! The weather for this trip made them worth it and I am not sure how much use I would get out of them if it was summer weather because they get so warm. One thing I was a tiny bit bummed about was that they are not a true white but more of an off white. I also wish they had the classic Disney logo instead of the front of ship design.
I bought the Luxury for 2 w/alcohol and Luxury for 1 w/non alcohol. The alcohol was a Prosecco and the non was Martinelli's. On a funny note, when I first looked at the gifts and amenities choices, this was labeled as "Luxury for 2" and "Luxury for 1". Then, when looking a few weeks later, it said "Romance for 2" and "Romance for 1" which I though sounded funny. Weeks later, they changed it back to "luxury" instead of "romance".
The robes came in bags and the wine was chilled with 2 glasses. You also get a box of chocolates...I think there were 12 in the box. I will post pictures but I don't have a picture of the robe to add but like I said it is the same as the PP. These were in our stateroom when we entered for the first time. All in all I am glad I splurged!

Those are lovely! You must have felt so pampered in luxury.

When they say one size fits most, would it fit an XL?
I just got off the Fantasy yesterday and I purchased the " romance for 2" which came with 2 robes, box of chocolate and champagne, totally worth the $140ish price. The robes are such good quality and I am 6' 200 lbs and it fits big on me and goes past my knees.

Such a great gift, got them for my wife and daughter.
