Disney Cruise Line Bus

They get you there a bit later, but nothing like pulling up in a Disney bus!

We also like all things Disney when we do a DCL vacation. Get to a WDW resort at least one night before the cruise on the Magical express, DCL bus to port, hop on a Disney ship, and DCL transportation back to the airport. We have been on six Disney cruises (seven including the Big Red Boat 1987). So we don't mind showing up at the port later than if we have taken an alternate mode of transportation; to be one of the first on board. Plus we each always have a carry-on that we're lugging around so it's nice to get there after the staterooms have been cleared for passengers to enter so we can drop them off and walk around the ship or get something to eat unencumbered.

Bay Lake Tower is part of the Contemporary Resort and share a bus stop (applies to DME, DCL and internal Disney buses).

I realize that but they are treated differently. DME dropped us off in front of the lobby at The Contemporary, while DCL transfer we had to walk to BLT. I was just trying to clarify an earlier post so others might not get upset when they didn't get picked up in the lobby of their hotel.

What do you mean by "First Boarding pass"?

Is there 2 different runs of the shuttle service between WDW and Port Canaveral?

No. From the resorts each resort has one pick up. These pick ups are generally in the 10:45-1:00 window. Any one bus may stop at up to 3 resorts for pick ups, depending on how many people are requiring transportation to the port. It's possible for a bus to only have one resort pick up, if enough people are staying there to fill the bus.

Arrival at the port is about 1 hour after the last pick up the bus makes.
