Hello, everyone
Just back from the 4 day Wonder cruise, our second, and suffering major post-cruise depression. While passing through the first security post, the guard told us the ship was nearly at capacity, and that they weren't accepting any walk-ons that day. I checked the archive of posts, and someone said DCL no longer let anyone walk on at the last minute. We're hearing conflicting evidence--someone we met on the trip told us the "standby" fare was $100-200. Is this an urban myth? We asked a guest services cast member who told us once someone checked in as a passenger, guest services personnel could NOT see how much the person paid for the cruise, only the category s/he paid for. So, anyone know anything concrete about the possiblility of "walking on" to the Wonder or Magic just before sailing?
Thanks.
