I just received an email that there is a sale for DVC members on June 2012 sailings. Price is $1099 per person on verandah staterooms. I don't think I'm allowed to post the discount code (although I doesn't seem like it is a unique code).

Here is the email:

Ahoy Members,

The pixie dust has barely settled on the brand new Disney Fantasy, and our friends at Disney
Cruise Line are excited to introduce her to Disney Vacation Club Members.

Members are invited to take advantage of a very special discount offer to experience all that the
majestic Disney Fantasy has to offer, from all-new musical stage shows like Disney Wishes to
fun-in-the-sun water play areas like AquaLab and the first water coaster at sea, AquaDuck.

For just $157 per person, per night, Members can book a verandah stateroom of their choice
on select 7-Night Caribbean sailings aboard the Disney Fantasy in June, 2012.
(Total voyage fare is $1099 per person).

This unique offer is only available for sailings in June, so call Disney Cruise Line at
(888) 885 - 3770 and mention booking code "(redacted)" to book yours today.

Be among the first to sail during the inaugural season of the Disney Fantasy! Call now, before
this offer sails away!

Offer not available on a vacation points basis. For new bookings, Members may book a maximum of three Staterooms per Membership. Full payment is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable. Offer valid on most Disney Fantasy sailings from 6/2/12 to 6/30/12 for categories 04A-07A, subject to availability. Rates are in US dollars, per person, and based on double occupancy. Rate excludes Government Taxes and Fees of approximately $80 per person for 7-Night Caribbean sailings (subject to change). This offer cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts or onboard credits. Must mention booking code DVC CASH at time of booking. If a Member has an existing reservation for a category 04A-011C Stateroom that was not booked through Disney Vacation Club, the Member may apply this offer only to the stateroom in which the Member is traveling. Membership will be verified prior to sailing. Must fax a copy of Membership ID card within 48 hours of booking to 407-566-7587.

I just got the same email. I tried the promo code online and it wouldn't work, so I'm guessing you have to call. Its a great deal . . . now if I can just convince DH! :cool1:

Yeah, this really seems like a good deal. When I went on-line and figured the total cost for my family of 5, the total fare came up to $12 to $13K. The $1099 per person comes up to less than half that. We will actually be in Florida at that time. Have a 4 night DVC on-site stay followed by a week off-site and a Marriott timeshare. BUT...it isn't like we had planned to spend an additional $6K and spend another week on vacation after already being on vacation for 2 weeks! Have you guys seen this type of offer before? I'm not even sure that we would be qualified to go. I got the email because I am named as an associate DVC member on my sister's account. I know that it says up to 3 cabins can be booked per member but not sure if we would be able to cruise w/out my sister along on the same cruise.

If any of the June cruises are eligible, on-line it shows June sailings of the Fantasy departing June 2, June 9, June 16, June 23 and June 30.

I haven't gotten that email. No way we could o on vacation next month though.

I am currently having my travel agent looking into this as we speak! I am hoping to be able to upgrade from a ocean view to a veranda. With the entire family. But who knows if it will work! Or even have 3 stateroom close together

If you have an existing reservation I believe the email stated that the discount will only apply to the cabin that the member is in. But for a new reservation they will apply the discount to up to 3 cabins.

I was told I could not transfer my current OV reservation because I had booked it onboard and they can't stack discounts. :headache:

I was told the same, but the discount was greater than shipboard credit of $200 for me. I had them change to new discount and apply difference to shipboard credit. Instead of $200 I now have $325!!!

DH has been waiting on hold for 30 minutes...the phone lines must be blowing up with this great offer. DS and I were already booked on the Western cruise August 4 in a cat. 9D...now DH may get to join us for the same amount of $$$ and we'll have a verandah.

I was willing to lose the discount but was told they couldn't give me the DVC discount without cancelling (and taking that penalty), then rebooking.

I was all excited to think I had finally received my first PIN when I read the email and thought it looked like just a "sale". And poop, I can't GO in June! I wanna I wanna I wanna!

We got it! $2.14 less than what DS and I were paying for our cruise in August and we've added one other person and upgraded majorly in room categories. AND...I was able to book the Secret River excursion I missed out on when my 90-day window opened on Sunday morning :cool1:. Awesome deal!

It's surprising the number of discounts DCL is offering on a brand new ship, during summer and it's inaugural year. Let's see, we have had IGT,OGT and VGT, Military rates and now DVC discount. I don't ever remember seeing a DVC cash discount, at least not since we've been members.
