Any word on the outdoor deck location yet for the dream?
I haven't heard anything....still waiting impatiently...
Any word on the outdoor deck location yet for the dream?
Hi! We did not add anything except the Palo Chocolate and Vanilla Sauces to out cake cutting. It is so early nothing else was needed. Our guests were on the beach by 12:30pm and we were there shortly after. We all had lunch at Cookies together and still had almost 5 hours at the beach. It was plenty of time and no one felt cheated out of Castaway Cay time!
What are the chocolate/vanilla sauces and did you have to pay extra for these?
Thanks!!!
That is the sauce they serve with the chocolate souffle they make in Palo. I had a plain yellow cake with almond buttercream and thought the chocolate sauce would be good drizzled over.
When I went to Palo to meet with the manager AND when I met with the onboard coordinator, I asked to have the sauce served with the cake..it was sooo good..I could eat that sauce right from the pot!!!
They did not charge us and I think, because we had a large party, they had 2 or 3 pots of it on the table
We are considering canceling our DCL wedding. Its the entire lack of service/attention we are getting. If I send an email, I have to wait weeks for a reply and that is usually after sending more than one. Phone calls go unreturned. For some reason it just doesn't make me feel special at all. This lack of service combined with the unknown of a deck wedding on the Dream is having us second guess our decision.
We have found a lovely place in Cocoa Beach do do a beach wedding with pictures for under $600.
We would leave for a DCL honeymoon the next day with an extra $1900 in spending money.
I completely agree with you! It always takes several emails/phone calls to get a response. They still have no idea whats going on with Dream ceremonies, and that's completely unacceptable. Like you, I wait weeks to hear back from Shanda, and when I do, 9 times out of 10 she doesn't even answer all the questions I've asked. For example, it took 5 weeks and 4 emails to get her to book our MK/AK photos, and I have yet to hear from Disney Event Photography. We pay all this money, and they treat us like we're a burden. We're seriously considering canceling the DCL wedding for the same reasons you are. This is supposed to be the biggest day of your life, and they act like they're doing us the favor of allowing us to have out wedding there. Totally uncool! Disney is known for it's customer service and attention to detail, but so far the experience has not lived up to the standard we expect from Disney.
I know you read the boards Disney- you have a big problem here and you need to do something about it! I understand that these weddings are simple and easy to organize, but that isn't an excuse for being ignored.
I know exactly what you all are saying. I am getting married February 15th on the Dream and have unanswered emails. I ahve not been bridezilla and bugged Shanda with questions. This is the second time I have emailed in a year wth questions. I am getting close to my wedding and have no answers to my important questions. These weddings are not free. If they can't handle the volume they need to get more help. I am very concerne3d about how it will go onboard since this will be the first sailing of the Dream with weddingsI know it will all work out in the end and we will all have a great wedding/ vow renewel.

anyone thinking of calling someone higher up then shanda? seems like this is a huge issue that all of us can agree with and i dont think that any of us should have to cancel our wedding plans and dreams of having our disney cruise wedding due to lack of communication. They are the ones that need to change the way they have handled things asap and we need answers now and not tomorrow.
on a happier note i booked my honeymoon a couple days ago at walt disney world. we are staying at POFQ. pretty excitedmy dress should be coming in spring
im working on my welcome beach bags for the girls and welcome backpacks for the guys should be fun since my guest list sits at 40 people right now. im also debating on getting silk flowers or putting flowers together myself for my bridesmaids instead of spending the ridiculous extra cash on disneys cruise flowers they offer in the package. and im not even no wheres near done
how is the planning going so far for everyone else?
Same issues here too. E-mail Shanda and lucky if I get a response.
Maybe some of you can answer my questions. I really want to know about hair services. I have really long hair and want it styled but wedding packet said just wash and blow dry. Do they offer styling?
