I found the perfect wedding shirt for Ryan! I'm so excited I had to share it!

It's ivory so it will match my wedding dress, and he'll be wearing khaki linen cargo shorts with it. Sorry the pictures are so small! I took them off the ebay listing so I'll post better ones when the shirt arrives. What do you guys think? Do you like it? I'm thinking that I might start a PJ, would anyone be interested in reading it if I did?

I'm there! :cloud9: LOL! Count me in. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii and have never made it.

We have a niece that lives there and both times we were saving to go, we adopted instead....there goes all the money...;) So no Hawaii yet...but I really want to go.

I am a mom of a potential Disney cruise bride and have a couple of questions regarding the wedding ceremony. I noticed that Carnival cruise lines allows non-sailing guests to attend the wedding in Port Canaveral prior to sailing, is this option available for Disney Cruise Line brides? If not what were the positives or negatives being married in the Bahamas or on Castaway Cay?

In researching for my vow renewal, I found that most cruise lines had the option. Unfortunately, Disney is not one of them. :sad2:

I have a few questions for past DCL brides:

What does Disney do with your bouquet for the rest of the cruise? Do they take it back after the wedding and keep it in their cooler or do I have to figure out a way to keep it fresh until we debark?

Also, does anyone know if the DCL photographers will do trash the dress photos? We're going to get the smallest photo package available, and I was hoping they'd be willing to do this. I want a few shots in ocean and on the sand after we take the regular photos. We also want to try and get a few photos with any characters that are around doing meet-and-greets.

Thanks!

Hi I don't have an answer to your questions but I do have additional DCL photography questions so maybe we can get our questions answered.:)

We are going for the CD which has all the pictures on it so we don't have to pick and choose. I am wondering, how is the quality of the pics on the cd? Is it just the pics from the wedding or do you think they would include pics of the entire cruise (that would be sweet)? IS there a limit to the number of pics on the CD at all?

Some more questions we have about the photography are: How long do you get the photographer for? I ask because I would like to have some pics of me getting ready in addition to pics of the ceremony, then of course pics on the beach after the ceremony, then pics at PALO for the reception, AND THEN after that I would like to go up on deck and around the ship for some pics if possible? Would we be charged for extra time? AND FINALLY how are the photographers? I don't mind some posed pictures of family and such but I would also like some fun non posed creative pictures as well, do they do this? or is it just ok now stand there and smile because we are not creative? haha
I would also love to know about the TTD session as the PP asked?

Can I come too?? :lmao: Let's see what could I do... Ohhh I could perform the ceremony. Amazing what you can do on the internet :) I signed up to be a minister and performed my brothers ceremony. Best time we've had. Gotta love family!!!

Ohhh I do have a question to all my friends on here. What is the cancellation policy. Now remember I am doing a Vow Renewal, and it's not that I don't want to, I'm just not 100% sure yet, she still has the date saved for me, I just haven't signed anything... I pretty sure I want to do it, but we might be moving soon, and I'm scared on finances, etc.... So once you sign, are you locked in 100%???

I had received the bouquet in a glass vase when I returned back to the cabin after getting my hair done. DCL didn't take the bouquet back after that, I just kept it in the vase. There was also the time my sis lost the bouquet, but that is another story!! ;)

Our photographer asked us if we wanted to jump in the pool after we were done, and I was all for it! But, my new husband didn't want to ruin our finest! I'm sure if you ask upfront in your initial meeting with the planner onboard they can work something out.

If it helps here was the order of photography for us:

Pre-Ceremony- Pictures with Groom and family on the beach

Ceremony

Formal photos with family at ceremony site

Photos around Castaway Cay (including characters)

Palo Reception

Photos onboard the Disney Wonder

The quality of the photos is good. We did a couple small touch-ups in Photoshop when we got home, but then again, both of us do this on a daily basis at our jobs. The photos were only those taken for the wedding, it did not include the rest of the trip. I do not believe there was a limit on the number of photos, and we had the photographer for the stated hour. He did not do the getting ready photos. My sister took a bunch in the salon etc. If you asked ahead of time they might work out an extra hour or two to get everything that you need.

We were really lucky with our photographer, Goran. If he is onboard I would definitely ask for him! :thumbsup2 If you are concerned about the photography, I would check to see if you can get a photographer would will exchange a cabin for services. This way you can see a portfolio ahead of time, and you have their full attention for the trip. You would know exactly what you are getting into.

Check out the photos in my TR, you can get an idea here too. HTH! :goodvibes

I'm going to sub to this because DH & I want to renew our vows on a cruise w/ Disney over his R&R if possible next year. I just wish we knew when his R&R was so I could start planning. We want the Alaskan Cruise, but yeah not tooooo sure he will have R&R during that time frame.

Are there multiple locations at CC for ceremonies and do you get to pick? I know I saw picks on a pier and also on the beach and we DEFINITELY want the beach location...just thought about this TIA!

Stacy

Thank you Pinkcow! That helped a lot- I really appreciate it :goodvibes

Yunchman- I just talked with Shanda about this the other day. She told me they no longer use the pier for weddings- they only do them on the beach :)

I think the pier was a back-up location while they were working on expanding things on CC. That may be why it isn't available any more.

I can't remember what the cancellation policy is, but it was like maybe 2 months before :confused3, or else I would lose money.

Can't help with the pics. Sorry. We did our own and had a fun time doing it. I didn't trust the ship photographers. You never know what you are going to get.
