Thank you Pinkcow! That helped a lot- I really appreciate it :goodvibes

Yunchman- I just talked with Shanda about this the other day. She told me they no longer use the pier for weddings- they only do them on the beach :)

Thanks for the clarification! :thumbsup2

I think the pier was a back-up location while they were working on expanding things on CC. That may be why it isn't available any more.

I can't remember what the cancellation policy is, but it was like maybe 2 months before :confused3, or else I would lose money.

Can't help with the pics. Sorry. We did our own and had a fun time doing it. I didn't trust the ship photographers. You never know what you are going to get.

That is awesome you did your own pics! I wish I knew any photographers that would come on the cruise or had a tripod! :confused3:confused3 oh well, any pics will be good pics for me I suppose

I have a few questions for past DCL brides:

What does Disney do with your bouquet for the rest of the cruise? Do they take it back after the wedding and keep it in their cooler or do I have to figure out a way to keep it fresh until we debark?

Also, does anyone know if the DCL photographers will do trash the dress photos? We're going to get the smallest photo package available, and I was hoping they'd be willing to do this. I want a few shots in ocean and on the sand after we take the regular photos. We also want to try and get a few photos with any characters that are around doing meet-and-greets.

Thanks!

My one piece of advise to ANY DCL bride is bring your own photographer. We had the ship's and they sucked! I had to set up all of the poses and instruct him on how to do it.

I am sure they will let you get in the water. We laid in the sand!

I put my bouquet back in the vase after the wedding and it stayed nice, but I left it on the ship.

Hi I don't have an answer to your questions but I do have additional DCL photography questions so maybe we can get our questions answered.:)

We are going for the CD which has all the pictures on it so we don't have to pick and choose. I am wondering, how is the quality of the pics on the cd? Is it just the pics from the wedding or do you think they would include pics of the entire cruise (that would be sweet)? IS there a limit to the number of pics on the CD at all?

Some more questions we have about the photography are: How long do you get the photographer for? I ask because I would like to have some pics of me getting ready in addition to pics of the ceremony, then of course pics on the beach after the ceremony, then pics at PALO for the reception, AND THEN after that I would like to go up on deck and around the ship for some pics if possible? Would we be charged for extra time? AND FINALLY how are the photographers? I don't mind some posed pictures of family and such but I would also like some fun non posed creative pictures as well, do they do this? or is it just ok now stand there and smile because we are not creative? haha
I would also love to know about the TTD session as the PP asked?

If you are getting the package with the CD it wouldn't be much more to have a photographer cruise with you! Mikkel Page is amazing. http://mikkelpaige.com/ I know she is in Orlando so she would probally be interested.

The photographer I had was Horrible. Didn't speak english and I had to set up every shot! He was not creative at all. HORRIBLE!!! It is the one and only thing I would change about my wedding. We paid for the extra hour, becaus ewith the wedding and Palo (not including around the ship) we were over our hour by alot. We got about 200 pictures!! Links in my PJ!!

CinderelliT,

I love your shoes. Can you share where you got them/what brand? Thanks!

I'll go on a cruise if anyone wants to pay for me to go take pics. SERIOUSLY! I don't think that we are going to cruise again until we can get on the Dream - and we are looking at possibly in NOV 11

My shoes are the ones from SATC movie. They are Manolo's and were hard to find. My SIL had a big part in getting them for me and scored a huge discount on them. I contributed like $100 of the price. :scared1: Sorry, I'm not much help. I would never spend that much money on shoes normally.

Or ever. :rotfl:

Haha, no problem!

I thought they looked like the Manolo's...no wonder I liked them so much I think Belle's DD had the same ones and I loved those one's too!! haha just my luck I want to find red shoes that are similar to these so if anyone has any help/info I'm all ears! ;):goodvibes

You could get a dyeable bridal shoe. Many of them have the rhinestones on them and you can just dye them what ever color you want. Touch-ups have some really pretty designs. Zappos usually has a large variety. I think advantagebridal . com might have them and dye them too.

YES....DD did have Carrie's shoes from SATC....I am also no help with where she got them. She bought them MONTHS before the wedding she knew she wanted to wear them. I dyed her crinnolin blue as well and it looked really pretty

Floral (not sure who asked about this one sorry) DD's bouquet was made of CLAY!! She found a woman in California who makes them and they looked REAL!! I believe there are a few pics on the link I posted I am not sure I still haven't put all of them on there the CD from the photographer had like 500 plus pics and I haven't had time to mess with them in quite awhile. The floral site is DKdesigns.com I think.....DD's were blue hydrengas, yellow roses and some small cream flower amazingly real looking and after the wedding she bought a glass box (like you keep a football in) and the flowers are in that so she will have them forever and look as pretty as they did at the wedding!!!!!

I can't believe we have less than 3 months to go until our renewal. Got to turn in the planning packet next week... :cool1::banana::yay:

There is still so much to do...I haven't even printed out the invitations yet...:scared1: Thankfully, I only have a handful to do and everyone that is going booked with the save the dates.

You're almost there- yay! I'm sure you'll get everything done and it will be a beautiful VR! :goodvibes

I'm getting worried now. LOL. We didnt have a photographer at our actual wedding, so I was really wanting one at our VR, but I'm hearing bad things on here about DCL's photographers. LOL. So what is the route most people take???

When I met with the wedding coordinator on the ship, I requested an 'experienced' photographer. We LOVED her and she took some great shots and even photo-shopped some. We had so many great shots it was hard to pic the ones we wanted to buy. We didn't have professional photos the first time around and I wanted to make sure we had some this time. Here's one I love.

Patty you got so lucky. My Guy (and Betsy's) were aweful. I went and requested an experienced one too and was told I would have the best on the ship. It is hit or miss so it seems.

Elvis wasn't bad other than he didn't know how to use a flash..way too hot!

If I could do it again, I would save to bring a photographer with me..that way, I could have them for more than just the hour or two of the ceremony

I have to say that I was very happy with ours....I thought our pictures came out great, she had us pose in lots of fun and serious positions and she did everything that we asked. Although, I have to say that you look at other's posted pictures from photography places and they are absolutely beautiful. So I suppose you need to weigh how much you want to pay.
