I see that you get 1% on purchases with the Disney Credit Card. Can you use that to pay for part of the cruise? .... or is it just for spending on the cruise and at WDW stores?

You can use it anywhere they take Visa. And if you pay for all of your cruise (including the deposit) on it you get six months interest free on it!

Yes, the 1% rebate comes to you in the form of "Disney Dream Reward Dollars," which can be redeemed for DCL.
