If you have used it for a trip can you give me some pros and cons about it. Were thinking of using it to book our vacation.

I still have mine, but never use it. We keep it only for the privileges (discounts, free character photo at EPCOT). We've found better rewards on other cards. For example, SPG Amex just scored us a couple of free nights at the Swan. I also recently picked up the Marriott Visa. Enough free points/bonus nights to pay for our travel night sleep over on driving trips for a good while. The Disney Rewards just don't add up for us. But it may still be good for you! Everyone's needs and options are unique.

We have a Disney VISA and have used it several times for booking trips. The 6 months no interest is a nice perk and that is for each payment, so you get 6 months for the deposit and each payment. I have never really spread it out that much, but it is a good option.

The free PIC in the park with multiple characters is a nice benefit too and the 10% discount in some locations. We have some other cards with perks we use through the year too and usually use the Disney card a few months before the trip to have some extra cash for snacks, meals, and souvenirs.

If you are interested, I have a code I can give you to call and start your account and you'll get a $200 gift card bonus if you spend like $500 in the first 3 months. I don't think the online offer is that good right now. PM me if you want it.

I don't think it is a GREAT card as far as points since some cards offer 1.5 pts to a dollar and this is really just 1, but the other perks are nice and there are also vacation offers sometimes prior to opening to the public.

I use for work expenses and like the previous poster stated it's not competitive as the other cards. I plan on using my rewards in two years but just recently put our Christmas Vacation on this card as it offers 6 months of interest free purchases on trips to Disney. Normally we pay off as soon as purchased but we are going with another family and wanted to book LM at AoA A.S.A.P.

We have had ours Disney Visa for several years. This is how we have used it.

Pros:
1. No annual fee
2. Photo from Epcot
3. You choose how you spend the rewards, pay for snacks/souvenirs.
4. Six month deferral of charges made for Disney vacations or cruises.

Cons:
No bonus (you earn a flat 1%). Some other cards offer bonus periods where you could earn up to 5% during certain times.

This is a good summary of the card. I have had the card for years but don't use anymore other than if I want to go Disney. Then we only use it for the free picture.

If you were to use the card you could get reward points but at 1 point per 100 dollars spent, it doesn't seem like a very good return.

We booked our vacation on it because we booked a promo that was available to cardmembers before the general public.

Thank you for the replies. Our main reason for getting it is to have all our trip expenses in one place and not scattered among our day to day expenses. I like that it has no interest for 6 months and then all the little perks.

thx- good info to think about.

We have it but like other have mentions we get better rewards on other cards. Out marriott premier visa and AmEx platinum offer better deals for us and I know their are even better deals on other loyalty cards. We use it to pay our kids tuition at private school and keep that separate then turn the perks towards our food money at disney. Since we rent points usually and get our tickets via AAA this is what we use it for.

As the others have said, no interest for 6 months on Disney vacations, 10% off orders of $50 or more at Disney Store. I have the premier Disney Visa card, which offers 2% on restaurant, grocery, gas, and Disney purchases and 1% on everything else. We use it to cover our monthly bills, then just pay the credit card off each month. In just 10 months, we've earned about $700 toward our Disney trip, which is pretty good IMO.

Just be careful about the Disney vacation promo. Room only reservations do not count. Had to be a complete pkg with tickets etc. I've tried for 2 years to get my room only reservations to count & they won't do it. I have APs so don't need tickets.

You should know that the 6 mo. no interest is for packages and cruises only. Does not apply for room only reservations. That being said, I've had mine for about 8 years. I have a better rate on other cards, so I use it mostly for the no interest and then when at Disney I use it for our vacation expenses. When I know we're going soon, I start using it to accumulate points, but I try not to carry a balance on it. Also, as others have mentioned, package discounts are offered to card holders before the general public.

One other thing is that I get a lot of comments about how cool my card looks. Can't tell you how many Disney conversations I've had from pulling that card out.
