I just returned from a 3 day trip to Disneyland. Had a great time, I cannot say enough nice things about the Carousel Inn. The park seemed a little dirtier than I remember (takes longer to get the trash up and the River of America had a lot of floating debris). Also, it is true that the wait in line for food is painfully slow. It is very apparent that a lot of the staff are new and inexperienced so hopefully this will correct itself soon.

On other thing I wanted to mention, although perhaps I should not. With the three or more days park hopper ticket you get one early entry day into the park. The way they can tell if you have used your day is that they stamp your ticket with DL EE. If you rub the stamp off right away you may be able to make it disappear and theoretically get a second early entry into the park. I didn't do it because frankly I think you probably only need one early entry into Fantasyland per visit, but you never know.

Anyway, I have a few coupons that I wanted to offer up that I didn't use, all from the Disney Travel Company. I have the following:

California Fun Book 2005 (all the coupons expect Basin). These coupons are for discounts to shops around Disneyland, especially Downtown Disney

DCA Preferred seating for Aladdin, It's tough to be a bug or Muppet Vision 3D. 6 total tickets. Probably only worthwhile when the park is extremely crowded, which appears to be never.

Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness lets you in to Toontown an hour earlier than regular guests. 6 total tickets

ESPNZone Arena Game Card . This one might require a Park Hopper Bonus Ticket. 2 total tickets.

If anyone wants them, shoot me an email to dewayne underscore g at comcast dot net (email address masked to frustrate spammers). I'll send the first person who responds my address to send an SASE to and I'll get them to you soonest.

Hi,

What is Disney Travel Services? My brother and his family are returning tomorrow and saw that people got into Toon Town early with tickets. How did you get these? Did you book specifically through Disney and then received these extra perks? Also, were you given coupons for Downtown Disney as well? By booking through Disney Travel Services, are the prices the same as doing it yourself, or does it wind up costing a bit more? Thank you for any info.

The Disney Travel Company is who I booked my vacation through. They can be found at disneylandresort dot com (apparently new users cannot post URLs). Included with my 3 day park hopper were the savings coupons, coupons for early entry into Toontown, free lanyard and pin, and a the ESPNZone coupons. Those are the perks you get from them when you book through them. I did not stay at a Disney hotel, I stayed at the Carousel Inn. In 2003 I booked through getawaytoday and did not get the extras even though I stayed at the Grand Californian.

As to whether or not they are cheaper, I don't know. I booked for four (flight from Oregon, 3 adult and 1 child 3 day park hopper and 3 night stay at Carousel Inn) and it cost about $1300, which, given the price to fly into Santa Ana seems like a good deal. We all had a great time and it was money well spent. I hope you have a great vacation.
