I applied for a job with corporate about two weeks ago. I haven't heard anything from Disney but I'm moving forward pretty quickly with several other companies. Does anyone have an email for Disney's recruiting department.

I would hate to accept another offer right away (I might be able to slow the other down) if this is still on the table. At the same time, I don't want to pass on another position if Disney is not seriously considering me.

I wish you luck and hope you hear something. My dd applied with corporate Disney and she heard they pretty much promote from within, especially at the corporate level.

That's disappointing to hear! I'm in a very specialized field, so I'm hoping they don't have many people who they could promote to this position. But I guess only time can tell.

I suppose that means though that I should accept something else if it comes in.

That's not really accurate.

I have a good friend who is a Director level corporate employee and he was hired into that job from outside the company, and everyone in his department was hired from outside the company as well.

However, the hiring process takes a LONG time. He applied for his position in October and didn't actually get the offer until March. In between, he did a phone interview, 2 Skype interviews, and an in person interview. The first phone interview took place in December...two months after he applied. He was one of 550 applicants for the position. A LOT of people apply for these jobs and it takes them a LONG time to go through all the applications and whittle it down to prospective candidates.

If you need a job NOW, don't wait around for Disney if other job offers are on the table.

The other jobs probably pay better. Do you know where the position is located?
