I am not sure if this is the right place but I need help with sizes on disney.com. I wear about a L in most tops but wonder if womens sizes from disney are larger?
I ordered a few things for my hubby a while ago and had to send them back because they were huge! I ordered a Large and they were like the size of a XXL.

So - - - are disney.com sizes for females true sizes?

The only sizing issue I've run into were items that were not marked as being a *children's* large as opposed to an adult large.

Bought a bathing suit that was my size by their measurement-size charts. I even measured (painful!)

Got it and it was 2 sizes too big. At first I thought it was only one size too big, but when I got the replacement that was too big, too.

They are a PAIN about replacements like that. They REFUSED to take responsibility for it. I had to pay to ship the huge suit back to them. They did make a replacement order, but they charged me, then refunded me when they received my return. For a problem that is THEIR problem.

Don't they know what it feels like to measure yourself for a *bathing suit*?

So buyer beware with their sizing....

I haven't bought for myself on-line but in the store I can take a L in some things and in others I need the XL. I find this is common in a lot of stores for me. Mostly it depends on how much stretch there is in the fabric. T-shirts are usually a L and anything non-stretchy an XL. If you have a larger bust size the button down shirts will not fit (I'm a 38DD and I find they gap across the chest really bad and are really big everywhere else).

Oh No! Did you happen to buy one of the polo shirts and it was too tight across your chest? We are the same size bust  (wow, you really are impressed now right ?! LOL) and I just ordered polo's for my family and I for our GF Photo's and am afraid it won't fit. I did order a XL just because of that fact. I hate the new shirt materials now for my body because they are tooooo clingy and tight across the ta-ta's. I guess I will have to wait and see when they come in. I'll keep ya posted if you would like. :)

I have a mixed answer...for DD10 if we order her size, it is usually to big, DS2 his size is usually a perfect fit, and my wife complains that they are a size to small , mine is a shot in the dark if it is going to fit :scared1:

Apparently we have issues :rotfl2:

I bought myself a woman's lg t-shirt once and dd (5) wears it to sleep in because it must've been a children's size. I have an eeyore 2-piece swimsuit in my drawer that I don't know what to do with because after paying for shipping it wasn't worth sending it back since I got such a great deal. It's waaay too big. I just bought t-shirts (womens) and bought a size larger because I expected them to be small and after washing they're still a size too large. My latest children's shirts were true-to-size. My son's shirt appears to be true-to-size, too (mens small)

You should be ok with the XL polo shirt. I've actually bought a large in the polo and it was ok. I could have used a bit more material across the bust, but it was the only one they had left and it was on sale for $2.99. My trouble is that I have a real hourglass shape so the bust is big and the waist smaller (althought not as small as I would like after 2 kids). Clothing manufacturers haven't figured out that not all women are built straight up and down.

I have recently bought some t-shirts and they seem to fit fine. I too bought a swimsuit that was 2 sizes to big and exchanged it. The kids tshirts seem fine except the 2/3 size seems huge. On the otherhand I ordered ds pants in the 2/3 size and they are too small, not worth sending back as paid less for them than shipping would cost, I will be giving them to a friend. So it is really hit and miss.

Heard that!
I too have an hourglass shape and find that it is very difficult to find clothing for women with curves. Very frustrating. :sad2:

I ordered 4 t-shirts going through the childrens tab and got adult sizes. They did take the shirts back at a Disney store without a problem, but wouldn't credit the s&H. I figured they wouldn't even though it was there fault. I guess I was lucky. There is a Disney store near my sons home. I was going there and was able to go to the disney store with out too much problem. I did see on the net that the stores are in financial trouble and I can see why. Note they aren't owned by Disney. Disney is trying to get them back, but the company went chapter 11 because talks with Disney broke down.
