Disney.com BEST GUEST post card

Has anyone else rec'd a postcard welcoming them as a Loyal Best Guest and also offering the NIghtmare Before Christmas Pin set? I rec'd the postcard but it is vague and only refers to me as either a silver, gold or platinum best guest, doesn't say what i am or give me a membership number. When i go to the Best Guest section of the website, it asks for my number and says you should get a welcome kit with the number, which i didn't receive. I called one of the numbers on the card (there are 3 different ones for whatever level you are) and they said they'd research it and call me back. Maybe today, i'll hear from them. I guess all those disney.com purchases are finally paying off!::yes::

I received the same post card yesterday. I called one of the numbers on the card and was told that I should be receiving a packet in the mail by Oct. 1st. Sounds like they put the cart before the horse on this one - I feel sorry for the CMs answering the phones!!!

I excitedly told my husband, "Disney considers me a "Best Guest" and he answered, "I bet they do!!!"

Exactly what is he trying to say? :scratchin :confused:

I just found the information at the Disney Store web site about "Best Guest". It says that if you acquire "Best Guest" status in 2005, you will retain that status through 2007. I think that sounds great. I will start purchasing more on-line starting in January. I should catch some good clearance sales, then, too.
 
Cool! i'll be watching the mail for this! I went a little nuts on the garden stuff so that is probably how the $$ got up there, lol.
 

I got the post card as well. I called 800-443-5827 (one of the numbers on the card). I told them I received the postcard but hadn't received anything re: the Best Guest Program and could she check and see if I had a membership number. She gave me the number over the phone and told me to be sure and check on Disneystore.com as there are deals that go along with the Best Guest Program as well as the pins mentioned on the postcard.
 
I e-mailed them off the disney store website. This is what I wrote:

"How do you receive an information packet to activate a Best Guest
account? I have a log-in with Disney.com, however, I am unable to
sign-up for the Best Guest account without an activation #.
Thank you for your time."

The reply I received is:

"Thank you for asking about your Best Guest benefits on orders placed at
the DisneyStore.com.

Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding your Best Guest account
status. Your Silver Best Guest membership number is *****.

To receive your Silver Best Guest Gift with purchase, you must "Log In"
to DisneyStore.com with your Best Guest member name and password.

We hope you find this information helpful. Please be sure to let us know
if you have any further questions.

I placed an order today and was unable to log in under my Best Guest membership. I e-mailed them and asked about this and the reply was:

"To receive your Silver Best Guest Gift with purchase, you must "Log In"

I knew I didn't qualify for the free gift (my order was just over $100.) but I wanted my total to go against my ordering $ amount total. Not sure what will happen. I'm still not clear on this yet. It would help if I do receive a "package". Maybe it'll explain things better.

Must be nice to have BG # I have called 3 times and they won't give it to me. I know I'm a best Guest as I get cards and other BG stuff all the time and have applied benefits in past many times by emailing them with order number. I was told during last phone call that BG welcome packets were mailed Monday Sept. 20th and i should receive pkg. soon.

In meantime I applied my benefits the old way by ordering than emailing to get benefits applied. I at least know I have platnium status!!!!!

I got my best quest welcome package today, it included my best guest number, so I activated it online. Didn't buy anything else yet. My membership status is silver.
 
Got mine too. Question: were there just 3 pieces of paper in that large envelope? My envelope was open when i rec'd it and i wanted to make sure i'm not missing anything. I activated my membership on the website.
 
I have been a Best Guest member for a couple of years now. It's not really that new, they are just expanding it. I don't know what level I am for sure but since I always receive free shipping I am assuming that I must be Platinum. I called the Best Guest # and they said my packet is on it's way and it will have my member # on it. Apparently they are getting a lot of calls with the expansion. I have always just emailed them or called them in the past so it's nice that I will be able to get my perks as soon as I place my order online and not have to notify them that I have just placed an order and to please credit me my free shipping.
 
I just tried the email route as I have definitely spent enough money to be included in the program.... Cross your fingers for me!:D
 
Hi everyone...

Hmmmnnn...I have spent loads of money at Disney.com (about 100.00 a month - every month!!!) and I have not received any such thing in the mail - that stinks!
 
The pin promotion is sold out. I put in an order yesterday online and when I didn't see the pop-up for the pin set I called Disney.
They confirmed that they are out of the free pin set. I had already activated my best guest account last week. Oh well, I spent over $75 so I could qualify for free shipping.
 
Having been a "Best Guest" for about 8-10 years now, I can tell you that if you see a promotion that really appeals to you, order as soon as possible. They frequently run out of the more popular items (snow globes and crystal stuff), but if you ask, they will sometimes have old promotions hanging around that they will substitute. They have had some really great promotions in the past and I hope that with the new increased volume of Best Guest customers they keep up their old standards!
