Hello fellow Disboards members!!! I was wondering if anybody could spare a few minutes of their time to answer some questions I have about the Disney College Internship in Orlando.

1. I graduate in May 2014 from my two year college program. I was planning on beginning my internship in the spring of 2015...Am I too late to apply? If so, when is the next time I can apply an will it be too late considering I already will be graduated from college?

2. I would like to audition for character performer. When and where would I do this? And if I didn't receive any roles, can I still do the internship doing something else (attractions, concierge, etc)?

I have more questions but I feel as if these are most important right now :)
have a magical day everyone!! :wizard:

1) No it is not too late to apply for spring 2015, but if you meant this upcoming spring, yes. You wouldn't be able to apply for an internship for spring 2015 unless you're currently enrolled. I am not sure if you're planning on transferring to an university, you must be enrolled in at least 1 class at the time of your application. You would however be able to apply for summer internships and for the fall/fall advantage DCP. Spring 2015 internship means you must be enrolled in classes in the fall of 2014 - the time of the application period.

2) You would have to look at the Disney college program dates and you would have to find one that is hosted in a location near you. You would have to drive there. You have to apply for the program before the audition or afterwards. And yes, if you're accepted for another role, which is what other people usually do, a back up safety role, you can still go even if you aren't chosen for character performer. If you are offered a character performer role, they will simply transfer you to that role. So in short, it is a good idea to apply for the DCP, be accepted for another role, go to an audition, then be transferred to that role than just pin your hopes on that singular role. Another thing to keep in mind is they do sometimes have auditions during the program for people to transfer to character performer roles.

If you are graduating this May, you can apply for Fall/Fall Advantage 2014. Applications will probably open around the second week in February. However, for Spring 2015, you would have to be enrolled in school during the Fall semester of 2014. Even if only enrolled in one course.

thank you guys so much I really appreciate you taking your time and giving me some much needed answers! I will probably end up applying for the fall of 2015 :) thank you!!!

If you're planning on DCP Fall 2015, applications will come out sometime around first of Feb. 2015. At the time you apply, February 2015 or there abouts, you must be enrolled/attending college. So if you graduated in May 2014 and you're not enrolled/attending college you cannot apply.

Maybe there's a type on you will graduate May 2015? If so, then you could apply for Fall 2015 when those applications open up.
