Disney College Program Info needed =]

Hi Im not new to the boards, but I usually spend most of my time in the Wedding section....

Im hoping some of you know about the Disney College Program

I was wondering what Colleges are close to Disney in California and Florida?
What exactly do you do in the College Prgram?
How long is it for?
Are there certain requirements to get accepted?
Is it easy to get accepted?

The website was not very iformative

Although I know these questions have been asked many many times

I thought that people on disboards are very informative!

You will be working about 32hr a week. It is about 4 month to 1yrs. It is easy to get accepeted and as for requirements you must has a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

The program is open to all schools across the U.S. So school proximity doesn't matter. It does for Disneyland, though, since they don't have housing. But that doesn't have as much to do with school as much as it does where you live (can you commute to Disneyland?) Walt Disney WOrld has housing.

Is it easy to get accepted?
As long as you meet the requirements and you do not have an extremely bad criminial record, then it is easy. They won't put that on the site, but they offer just about everyone who applies.

Well you have to move down there and live there for the duration of your program, they provide housing which comes out of your paycheck.

The CP is open to any state. I am from NJ, and have done 3.

I think maybe you're a bit confused - for the College Program you take a semester off college and go down to Florida (or out to California, but in California they don't give you housing so most people do Florida) and work in the parks/resort for that time. There are some classes you can take, and your college might give you credit for it, but you're not doing it at the same time as taking classes at your college.
