I'm happy to hear the durban shrimp was "VERY good" because my husband I were DEVASTATED when I saw that they took off the shrimp in green curry sauce. We always split bread service and then the slow cooked entree (we order 2 of the shrimp). Sanaa is our all-time favorite restaurant, so it just felt like a stab in the heart when our favorite entree was removed! We will definitely go back though to try the other shrimp dish.

Glad that your mom was there to listen to your venting! Moms are the greatest.

May 7th, 2013 (Part 1) - Our Garden Suite at Boardwalk!

This morning I woke up and we went to Panera for breakfast! We got the egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches.

After that we went over to check in at THE BOARDWALK! Omg.

We went right to the check-in desk and our cast member was so welcoming and wonderful.

Bell services helped us bring our luggage to our room and the cast member was SO NICE. He said he came down when he was younger to get some experience working at Disney... and 31 years later he's still there! That really says something about a company when cast members stick around for that long.

So then we went to our room. We went all out for my birthday and got club level and they told me that the only thing they had available in that section was a garden suite.

Ya know, I didn't really COMPREHEND what garden suite meant.

OH. MY LORD.

God, thank you. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU.

We walked in and my mom and I were like... "ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW?"

The garden suite has the ground floor with an adorable couch and a TV. There's also a bathroom and a kitchen area.

THEN... THERE'S AN UPSTAIRS.

There's. an. UPSTAIRS.

Like.... Oh my god. WHAT?!

You go up the adorable stairs and the king bed is up there, along with a bathroom and a JACUZZI TUB.

There's also a TV in the bathroom.

I just can't comprehend. WHAT?

So seriously, hello first dose of birthday magic. Oh my goodness.

My mom and I just didn't really know what to do. We were beside ourselves with excitement!! AHHH it was so amazing. What a day!!!!!! And we had our own little Boardwalk rug for our "house."

AHHHHHHHHH!!!

That place looks amazing. We are DVC members, so never stay in the hotels, but that suite looks like I just might have to use my AP discount one day to book for me and my husband. I can just imagine a wonderful weekend there. Hope you are having a great time and that all is well with the world. So glad to be reading your posts again. What the heck am I going to do when you are all finished up?

Wow, I can see that no one would be mad that there is an upstairs! That room, and that bathroom! Very beautiful place to stay.
The pictures on the wall are quite pleasant too.

That Garden Suite makes me want to try all the Resorts even More. I've stayed at the Boardwalk Villas but Wow! The ones that might compare are the 3 bedrooms at BLT. But I have only seen pictures of those, have not stayed there.
