I was just thinking the same thing...all I get is several periods instead of a photo??
DH and I have collected the Disney World plates ever since our honeymoon in 1997 - that was the year of the 25th birthday of WDW (anyone remember that beautiful castle being turned into a bubblegum pink CAKE?). Following this we got the Millenium, and then just one that matched whatever the trip (Christmas, now the 50th anniversary, etc).
They are generally about $25 and come well packed in a box. Not too hard to transport.
I collect pens from wherever I go on vacation. I keep them in a holder on my desk at work. The problem however, is that I find myself staring at them and daydreaming.
Mickey2000, you make my "duck room" look pitiful!! And here I was so proud of having an entire room dedicated to Donald!! Guess that just means I'll have to try harder and take more trips, huh!!
John, the two Disney plates are from the opening of WDW in 1971. That year a Florida resident could have a vanity plate for the opening. They came in blue and green color!
My Wife and Myself have 1 whole room in our house that is nothing but DISNEY. We have about 150 different disney coffee mugs of different sizes displayed in a cabinet that I made. We also have our pins, stuffed animals, plates, posters etc displayed in our DISNEY room. We have several DISNEY cookie jars in our kitchen plus a curio cabinet full of DISNEY snow globes in our living room. We also put up a special DISNEY Christmas tree every year, it has all DISNEY ornaments on it.
we collect salt and pepper shakers. We only have about 10 now, but they are easy to display, look great in my china cabinet---- can't wait to look for some more!!!!!!!!!!!!
Debs5angels, I collect Disney washcloths. They are cheap, easy to find and useful. I must have at least 60 different ones. I get them at the Disney Store, the parks and the resorts.
Mickey 2000, can I come over and watch TV in your Mickey room sometime? Please! Please! huh can I ? Pretty Please!
