dh collects bobble heads... when they came out with disney ones, he started collecting those, one each trip - which by my sig that is quite a few times... lol
when we got married last year, and went for our honeymoon, we decided to start collecting one christmas ornament a year. we go the one that has mickey and minnie on it and says "just married". i had our names and date put on it. i haven't gotten one for this year yet, but i want to get another and put the year on it, or find a nice one with the year on it already. we also have the mickey and mickey stocking stuffers, with disney stocking holders, and a mickey and minnie christmas tree skirt.
for a wedding gift, my aunt bought us some kitchen utinsils, spoon holder, pot holders and an apron, i have them all hanging in my kitchen. now, i have a disney kitchen. i always find something cute to add when we go. i have disney linen placemats & napkin rings for my dining table. but it is a very subtle disney. (it is all light blue with an alternating pear & apple with minnie hiding behind the fruit. the napkin rings are just a black iron ring, with a mickey head cut out in the middle) i have the coasters too.
i was sad to see that the disney home store closed down. the goofy's candy store opened up in there. They opened up a small store called Mickey's Pantry (or something like that) in the store where the candy store used to be. but they only have a small selection of items in there, nothing like the disney home store.
i have a separate dvd rack that is just for disney movies. i like to get them when they come out. my 2 y/o godson is knows exactly which rack to go to when he is in our house and wants to watch a movie. can't wait for toy story and cinderella to come out later this year
our family laughs and calls our house a disney house.
pick something you like, or maybe decorate a particular area of your home, or a small collection.
