Disney Club questions

Hi,
I was wondering what the benefits are in becoming a Disney Club member? I am already a Disneyland AP holder (PAP) and am considering purchasing a DC membership but not sure why I should or what the need to do so would be. Thanks!

I have been in DC for a couple years. I used it to get a discount on my AP too. Most of the discounts within DL are the same...meals, merchandise, hotels, etc.
I recently renewed my DC. I have definitely got my money's worth by using it for shopping at the Disney Store and I will use it for discounts at WDW also. The DC card also has other deals like discounts for National rental car.
So, I guess you will need to decide how you want to use the DC card. If it's only within Disneyland, I'd say it's not worth the investment. If you think you'll get to use it elsewhere, it's definitely worth it IMO.

Discounts on mdse and food & beverage with the Disney Club card are few and far between! They will send you a monthly mailing that details where it's accepted but at Disneyland it's very specific. If I recall, it's 10% at Goofy's Kitchen, 10% at the Marceline candy shop in DTD, $20 for $10 gamecard at the ESPN Zone, and a few more places - it's not accepted everywhere.

As for DL resort hotel rates, you can find rates through wholesalers and on the internet cheaper that the rates they extend to DC members.

If you're paying with American Express and your purchase is over $50 most if not all shops will give you a 10% discount.

We have premium APs and can get 10% off EVERYWHERE if the purchase is at least $5.

I purchased the Disney Club membership in 4/01 and barely got my money's worth; we did get $10 off our APs and were able to use it at the ESPN restuarant here in Las Vegas. But I'm not renewing it. Bring back the free MKC!!!!!
