Disney Club Memberships Still Being Renewed

FYI:

The Disney Club Memberships are still being renewed, even though it is past the so called deadline of December 12 to renew.

I just called to renew this morning, not sure if they would renew, but they prorated my membership thru the end of 2003.

Just a heads up incase anyone else was putting off renewing, or thought that it was too late.

I just called Disney Club. Our membership was to expire at the end of August 2003. They renewed my membership which will now be effective thru December 31, 2003 for a prorated amount of $9.98. Now we will be able to get the DC discount on our annual pass renewal next November. $9.98 to save $60 on the AP's - and who knows how much more at the Disney Store, etc over those 4 extra months.

How can I get that prorated rate. I think my expires in Feb 03. I thought this program was ending in Dec 02.

Biddler - the program actually ends in December 2003. Just call and let them know you would like to renew. My card also expires in February and I think I was charged $24 to renew.

You would need to extend your membership from March through December, or 10 months. 10 months/12 = .83 times the regular membership fee of $29 = $24. (or thereabouts)

Glad to hear that some of you were able to take advantage of the renewals at the DC. There are more than enough benefits that will pay for the prorated renewal rate!

Thanks so much for the information. I too thought it was too late and I didn't get my renewal in in time, but when I called today they were more than happy to extend my expiration.

Thanks for the info. Mine expired at the end of January and I was not too crazy about updating it, since the discounts aren't too spectacular.
But this year we want to buy APs and want to take advantage of their discount.

Mine was prorated and they charged me $27.99, starting in February. I can't wait to get the Disney Visa though!

They aren't taking new memberships, only renewing previous ones.

Can you tell me is the expiration date on the DC card means that the card is good till the last day of that month?

Yes, I am pretty sure that the expiration date means it is good until the last date of that month.

Just yesterday I received my renewal card in the mail along with a small ring binder to keep all the Disney Club information in. Several cards were included with the binder. Updated 2003 member benefits were also included in a special sections. It is pretty neat, and a good way to keep everything organized!

Renewed my membership today...was happy to see this post as I thought it was too late.. since we are going in Aug and my membership was to expire at the end of Jan 03 , i'm very happy.
Don't let your memberships expire though, the rep at disney Club said had I waited until Feb 1(when it would have expired) they wouldn't have extended it until the end of 2003. thanks ............
