Disney @ Christmas!

Last year we where there a week before Christmas. The first day was very cold. After that, it was pretty warm during the day, some nights it was a little chilly but the kids did not care, all they wanted to do was swimm. It was really strange sitting by the pool while listening to jingle bells. It was fun though.

We spent Dec. 20-26, 2007 in WDW...stayed at AKL.

DS9 & DH went swimming in the pool a couple of times. DD13 went in once. It was too chilly for me. She & I mostly used the hot-tubs.

did u wear summer clothes durring december? I'm from Pa, I'm just trying to figure out what its gonna be like if i would decide to go in Dec.

Ive been 3 time at the end of December. 2 of the times it was 80-85 degrees during the days everyday, with morning temps about 65-70. Absolutely beautiful!!! We go tin the pool to relax, took naps by the pool, and wore summer clothes during the day, the Girls wore Fall clothes at night once the sun went down (they were all cold natured). But being from Penn, I don't think the nights will be a problem for you at all.

But that was 2 of the 3 weeks. The other week they had record cold weather. Highs around 40 and lows in the upper 20's and lower 30's. VERY cold for WDW.

But that was record cold weather. In fact 3 of the 5 days we were there had record lows. More then likely though the weather will be GREAT. Highs 75-85 and lows 60-70. In my opinion it is the best time of the year to go weather wise.

We were there last Christmas 12/25-1/2 and the weather changed daily. It started out overcast, windy but warm. As NYD came, that night a freeze warning was issued and it was cold that next day. We also had rain on and off the whloe stay.

We arrived on Jan 1 this year. Jan 2 through 4th were pretty darn cool and we're from GA. No pool for us!

We are from PA as well and have been to Disney around Christmas the last 2 years. I love it, the Christmas decorations are up and it is totally magical. The weather for our weeks ranged from low 70's to low 80's during the day, and mild at night (nothing like in PA). The crowds are light too if you do not go the week between Christmas and New Year's (although we had friends that went that week last year and they said the crowds weren't too bad). Have fun, we just had a baby a few months ago and won't be going until Christmas 2009.
