I know that previously Dept 56 had a Christmas Disney Village. Does anyone else currently have one in production? I would love to start a Christmas Village of some sort and the kids would love a Disney theme

Hi,
Disneystore.com does, also in the catalog. In the online store search for "toontown" and it should take you to the listing of available houses.

Thank you. I'll take a look right now

Marcie

I checked out the Toontown stuff but it is not what I am looking for. I'd love a Christmas Village that is a miniture of actual Disney buildings like the Castle, Space Mountain, Emporium etc. It looks as if it's not made. I am surprised because these Chrismas Villages Collectibles are so popular and I would think a Disney representation of well know buildings and attractions would be great.

If you're looking for a *really nice*representation of DL, there is a new series just starting. It's being done by Robert Olszewski and the first piece comes out December 14th. They will only be sold at DL. This isn't a Christmas set though. It's supposed to be a 10 year project. I've seen the piece in person, and it's the most beautiful thing I've seen. If you look at the picture, on the right side, the back turret comes off and inside is a miniature Prince Phillip kissing the sleeping Princess. But it's not cheap, $195 for the castle. The goal is to have all future pieces be $150 or less.

There have been a few different villages over the years, but they pretty much stop at Main Street. Sears had a nice ceramic DL set, and a cardboard/plastic WDW set. But those were just Main Street. Then there are the Toontown houses, and the Dept. 56 set

Okay, the castle on that link is nice, but did you get a load of the Maleficent standing over Sleeping Beauty. OH MY!!! I think my Christmas list just got much more expensive!! Thanks for the link!:p

For years we've been collecting Dept. 56 Village pieces. About four years ago I decided to include the Disney pieces. Of course, they had been discontinued. I was lucky to find a dealer in my area who had most of the pieces that were made available prior to Dept 56 losing the contract. If you do a search on ebay, you'll come up with many people selling them for very good prices. There are two pieces which are much more expensive but you can simulate Liberty Square with all the rest. It will be easily recognizable for your children and yet fit into holiday decorating nicely. Good luck!!

Thank you. I will look on e-bay. I read that Dept 56 produced these pieces for 2 years before production problems closed the line. I wonder if they will every start it up again.

Hi,

I've got an extra set of the Department 56 Disney Village. I don't think I have the last 2 pieces, though. I'll sell them for what I paid plus shipping. If you're interested, e-mail.
