I was just wondering if anyone from here saw this today. I took my 13 yo DD and 9 yo DS (16 yo DD is tired of all things Disney). We arrived at 9:15 a.m. and stood in line for about 45 minutes. We were on the train for about 30 minutes. By the time we got off the line was 4 hours long!! And the heat index for today was 108!! I am so glad we got there when we did. It was definently worth a 45 minute wait, but I can think of almost nothing that is worth a 4 hour wait in 90%+ humidity and 100+ degrees. There were so many people there. I just hope that any DISers that wanted to see it showed up early. Any other thoughts?

Also, the Disney Store at the Houston Galleria had a grand reopening today. I am still disappointed that there are so few collectibles. Oh well, I got 3 free Mouse ear hats...

The folks who stayed are true Disney fans!

I can't wait until the train comes to my area! :goodvibes

How many folks were in line before you?

Did you feel rushed once you finally got on the train, or were you allowed to take your time?

How many folks were in line before you? Maybe 400

Did you feel rushed once you finally got on the train, or were you allowed to take your time? I did not feel rushed at all. I could have if the flow of traffic bothered me. Once we were on the train the line disappeared. You could pretty much take your time or not. Many people hurried through it. I never felt badly taking so long because others were not. While I was reading and taking pictures I could easily be passed by. The photo morphing computers were by far the most popular and I did not feel rushed here either.

I was disappointed by one aspect- the website says guests will be able to watch selected scenes from the movie in a 3D movie tent. It was not available today. I was told they are having problems with it. I am eager to know when and if it happens.

And, Disney did have large stand misting fans periodically set up and cold, free water available at different points along the line.

One other thought- the CMs occassionally had to ask children not to play on the real railroad tracks:confused: It seemed to be an ongoing problem. This was at a real train depot, hence real trains. Very dangerous and amazing to me that parents weren't more careful.

Most importantly- get there EARLY and take your time. It should make you highly anticipate the movie

Hi! I was there also, holy cow i couldnt believe the wait! I was there about 4 ish, and the wait was about 2 1/2 + hrs.... some folks said that their friends were in line around 12:30, and just right before 4 they had finished the tour of the train. Unfortunately we didnt wait... the heat was just way to bad, and i like a ding-dong, came in jeans, my friend and i had dressed up cause we wanted the picture by the mantel, and food table... and i was totally thinking that nobody knew about the train tour! Boy was i wrong!

We went and ate and came back around 6:30 and the line was still just as bad!! Well, atleast we got to see the train! :)

Glad you were able to see everything!

OMG growing up my girlfriends and I would skip school and drive the 2 1/2 hours up to the Galleria! I love that mall, I can only imagine how nice the new store is!
