I am finally starting my TR and am sooooo excited!

Almost as much as when I was getting ready to leave...but not quite! Since I joined the DIS in Sept 2006 and was hooked on so many great TR's (Utahmama, GlendaMax, Lexmelinda, Summer-Caitlin, Winkers, MonyMony..to name a few) I have known I wanted to join in the fun!

So, here I am!!!
I suggest you grab some coffee, tea, vanilla chai, hot chocolate, diet pepsi, whatever and settle in for the duration!

This TR will be filled with laughter, adventure, "chance meetings" and some Disney magic!!!
DAY 1....Adventures at the Airport
The alarm went off at 4am, but I really wasn't sleeping anyway! I felt like the Disney commercial...."I'm too excited to sleep!!!"

The phone rang within 5 min and was Pam letting me know she & Judy were up & showered and just as excited as I was!

So glad I wasn't alone!
After a quick shower, I got dressed and checked, re-checked and checked again all my tickets and by 4:35 was on my way over to Pam's house where we were all meeting! By the time I arrived, everyone else was there and the cars were loaded and ready to go!

We decided all the ladies would go in one car and the 2 husbands taking us would drive in the other car! So, off to the airport we go....arrival 4:55am!!! WOOHOO!!! My DH, Larry and Pam's DH, Larry, (not the same man

) dropped us all off at the front of the airport at departing flights.
We unloaded, said our good-byes and headed in. Check-in at the Kiosk was a breeze and then we were checking our bags....UH OH!!! 2 bags were too heavy!!! Pam & Judy proceeded to empty their bags to make them lighter, using the bags they had that were reserved for souveneirs! OK...the bags are checked successfully and off we go to security. Now, we all know what can and can not go in carry-ons. However, in their haste, both Judy and Pam chose all their hair products to carry-on and make the luggage lighter!

They were found with countraband in their bags and were given the choice to check the bags. (This does become a theme throughout security checks!) Both ladies were then escorted back to baggage check, (This is Pam with her escort!)
checked those bags and we finally met them later at the gate! On the flight from Buffalo to Atlanta, Pam handed out a "Word Search" she had made with all our names and lots of Disney stuff on it! We all had fun doing that!
Once in Atlanta we had 2 hrs to kill. MJ had made us all t-shirts, which she had done counted cross stitch with "Disney Chix 2007" on them and we all had a different character. (See intro for who's who on pg 1) She handed them all out as a surprise. These were great and led to alot of attention whenever we wore them. This was the highlight of our time in Atlanta.
We all put them on and wore them for the rest of the day. From the moment forward, we were known as
"The Disney Chix"!
The flight from Atlanta to Orlando was one of the largest planes I had ever been on! We were in row 48 out of 49! Needless to say, way back there was a little bumpy in the landing and I needed an "air-sick" bag in my hands, just in case!

Other than that, the flight was fine. At baggage claim, we waited and had all our bags...but wait! The two wayward bags were no where to be seen!

Pam & Judy headed to the info desk for baggage and found out another flight was just arriving from Atlanta and they may be on that one. Roz, MJ & I sat while the other two went back to baggage claim and hopefully find their bags.
About 15 min later, they were walking towards us with bags in hand! YAY!!!!!

We could now head to the Magical Express!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!
*NOTE* I apologize for the lack of pics in this installment, but, unfortunately I had lost ALL the pictures I took Sunday & Monday due to my lack of knowledge of my camera! And since I was the only one taking pictures while we travelled, they are only in my memory! Sorry!
