My wife and I are planning to take our kids to WDW in 2008. And, although the bulk of the planning is for them, I would like to take wife to California Grill for dinner and fireworks. And maybe a few cocktails. Our kids will be 6 and 3 and 3 is too young for the kids clubs. I was OK with the kids club idea but not sure about a sitter that wasn't referred by family or friend...If you have used an in-room sitter please let me know how it was and how you found them?

Here's where you can find info on the different childcare options at WDW

I haven't used them so can't comment from that standpoint but I have read lots of rave reviews here on The Dis for both Fairy Godmothers and KNO.

hth!

I was wondering the same thing. Is it 3 and up or 4 and up (and potty trained, I know that much.) DD who is 2 will be 3 on our next trip May 2008 and is potty trained now so I know we don't need to worry about that. We put her in the kids program on the cruise ship and DH and I were thinking a night out at WDW might not be bad if we could put them in a club. She will be close to 4, but not until Aug. Her big sister will have just turned 7 so that isn't a problem.

We were down at the begining of May and used Kids Night Out. We loved them and had no problems whatsoever. The sitter brought along games and crafts for the kids. I know that other people on this board did have problems with them. There is also Fairy God Parents. My wife and I have not used them but I have seen a lot of good recommendations for them.

It's 4 and up. Here's the link to the info from Allears...
