Im confused...I could've sworn my banker told me that the points system was being reinstated when they sent us new debit cards in July. But today they said there are no points...just discounts. But on the Disney chase visa website it still shows 2% points for premier cards and 1% points for reward cards.

I think the points are for the credit card where the dicount is for the debit card. Credit card users also get the discount of course.

Agree...no points for Debit, just regular/premier Disney Visa cards (non-debit).

When they started the Disney debit again, it was not a rewards card. It's still good for discounts and the free photopass picture area, but not rewards.

You need to go back into your Chase and make sure they know what they are "selling". I know I got to help with their education, as the Chase people at my branch(es) didn't know I would *automatically* get re-enrolled. Everyone thought you had to sign back up. Our old cards were expiring the same month it started again. I signed up, I got a card. A day or two later (before I had a chance to activate my new card) I got another card and my husband got a card. The card for DH showed us that we had been automatically enrolled, as the banker said that he would have to come in and do it for himself.

And it messed me up because I thought the cards were exactly the same (b/c they looked exactly the same), but they were different. And I shredded the wrong card. So I didnt have a working card for a bit longer than I really should have. It was annoying.

Those rewards are for the credit cards, like posters have mentioned. There is a premier credit card ($49 annual fee) that earns higher rewards, amongst other things. The standard credit card (free) earns 1%. Both credit cards & the debit card are still eligible for discounts in the parks, online, and at The Disney Store (ex. 10% off a purchase of $50+).

Yep. At one time, they allowed the free Disney Visa cardholders to upgrade to the Premier Disney Visa and get 5% off for the first 3 months. They took that away earlier this year. I would have upgraded had they kept that perk, but alas, I kept the free one.
