Disney Characters who couldn't handle CP

While thinking about the CP and Disney in general I started to think about how not every personality is suited to handle some of the issues that cast members (and anyone else with a hands on job in the hospitality/tourism industry) have to deal with. This had me thinking about various Disney characters who would either get termed or self-term or just be miserable if part of CP.

I think it would only be a matter of time before Donald Duck got termed because one ridiculous guest would say something to him and then he'd throw one of his quacking tantrums. I also think Megara might have a hard time because she doesn't like to put up with jerks. She's very sarcastic and would have no problem snapping back at somebody. For example,

Guest: What time is the 3 o'clock parade?
Meg: Are you serious? It's called the 3 o'clock parade for a reason.

Guest: I had to wait in a long line to enter the park because it's a holiday and peak season so it's all your fault and I hate you!
Meg: Obviously. Have a magical day.

Hercules on the other hand would be perfect because he is so nice that he puts up with anything even awful people making him a scapegoat.

So who do you think would fail miserably at being a cast member (regular or CP)? Who do you think would handle it flawlessly?

Haha...I agree that Megara would definitely not work out! Personally, I think the White Rabbit would surely be termed. Not only is he easily flustered and a real "nervous nellie", he would also always be LATE! Not good, from what I hear! Also- I think Scar would get the boot. Not only does he have a self-serving attitude, he is also sneaky and ruthless: definitely not a team player.

Honestly? Mickey could do it. I think he'd be smart enough to be nice to the people to their faces, at least, and save any sarcastic "Ooooh boy!"s or eyerolling to backstage or off-property.

Maybe some of the princesses. Sleeping Beauty, as long as she set her alarm clock extra loud in the morning. Cinderella, but she might want to wear different footwear. Those glass slippers are clearly not Disney-approved... unless she was playing herself...

Now that I think about it, yes she'd have the worst time getting shoes for her role. She'd either need all white sneakers, all black sneakers, or closed toed closed heeled professional shoes (which not everyone has), and with those tiny feet she'd probably have a hard time finding her size. In the days before the program she'd be spending all her time at places like Nordstrom Rack and DSW praying she'll find decent shoes. :rotfl: I know the feeling...

Piglet would DEFINITELY be a horrible groundskeeper!

Guest - there are lovebugs everywhere! Get rid of them.

Piglet - Oh, d-d-d-d-dear. There aren't any Heffalumps or Woozles out there, too..... a-a-are there?

The Duck would try hard at first, but yeah, his hair-trigger temper would soon get the better of him. Refer to the "Bellyboy Donald" cartoon, where he tries hard to live up to "The customer is always right!" mantra. This rotten kid keeps looking for ways to provoke him and make his life miserable. In the end, Donald finally loses both his temper and his job. That's when he gives the brat what's coming to him (namely a spanking).

Goofy probably wouldn't do so well either. He has a friendly disposition, but he always manages to screw things up and get himself in the weirdest situations. He would probably end up making rides run backwards or something.

Mickey is the only one of the trio I could see pulling it off flawlessly. He's not the sort to really, truly lose his temper and do mean things. In fact, the animators eventually had a hard time writing stories for such an all-around good guy. There's a reason why there are a lot more Donald Duck shorts. ;)

Now I'm wondering about what roles Disney characters would have or want to have regardless of whether or not they'd be good at them.

We know that Mickey being himself could handle any role but I see him with roles that require you to really welcome people like the transportation role where you take people from the parking lot and get to make announcements over the speakers.

Jack Sparrow would work transportation on one of the ferries, but he might be inebriated so the boats may or may not sail longer than necessary and in all sorts of directions. On the other hand, I also see the boats always finding their way near EPCOT as Jack's compass will probably steer him towards rum.

Jack as merchandise would also be a hot mess as he might end up with the guests' purchases neatly and clandestinely swept onto his person instead of in their bags. The guests wouldn't notice this until after they've left. Trading pins with him might be rough too because once again you go to take something out of his hand but he's managed to keep that, grab yours and give you something entirely different and worthless.

Prince Naveen working merchandise could be a problem too.

Cast member: Excuse me miss, there is another cashier open right over here.
Guest: Thank you, but I'll just wait in this line for him.

The line would be long for that reason and because he may have no clue what he's doing.

Any other thoughts? All imaginations always welcome!

Two others characters that probably couldn't handle the CP would be Eeyore and Pinocchio.
Eeyore doesn't have the right attitude and wouldn't project a positive image and energy. Disney wouldn't want its guests to be depressed and risk getting wet from Eeyore's personal raincloud!
Pinocchio would be too easily distracted and would probably just wander off from whatever he is supposed to do to do something more fun. His manager would probably be looking for him to stock shelves, but he'd already be on his way to ride the Haunted Mansion!
