Hi
I was thinking about booking a dinner or lunch with the disney characters or princesses. But I`m a bit worried how that will be when my child doesn`t speak english and therefor will not be able to have a convercation with those who come to our table.
I`m concerned that they might not spend as much time with us as maybe the children who can talk to them and understand each other.

I want it to be perfect, and there is always something to worry about.

Does anybody have an experience with that,or maybe can tell me if this is something to worry about?

Do I have to translate for her, and talk to the characters for her?

I wouldn't worry too much, from my experience, the ones in the big suits don;t say anything, and as your english seems so good, I'm sure you'll be fine translating if anyone does talk.

I was wondering about taking her to the princesses lunch or dinner, and my guess is that the princesses speak with the children when they`re at their table.... Maybe I just have to translate what their saying. I suppose that would be okey... But I still worry.

The Princesses did spend quite a while chatting to DD when we went last year. What language does your daughter speak as Im sure some of the characters speak more than one language.
Im sure she will enjoy the cuddles and attention from the princesses and having her photo taken with them just as much. Our DD was so awestruck the first time she met her favourite Belle that she couldnt say anything and shes normally a non stop chattering little girl

I don`t think any of the characters speak the same language as us. We speak norwegian, and I don`t think they do. My daughter speaks a little english, but not enough to have a convercation with anyone. She only knows a few sentences, and a lot of words. She doesn`t start to learn english until she starts school in a couple of months.

But we just have to wait and see how it goes. ;)

I wouldn't worry Njut, I'm sure you will have a wonderful time. :wizard:

I wouldn't worry too much either, I think the smile on your childs face will speak for her and a cuddle from her favourite princess/character would go down a treat.

Cannot agree more! :thumbsup2
