What is this store all about ?

The Disney Character Connections Store ?

I've heard bits and pieces that it's like a regular Disney store, I've heard it's like a Disney Outlet, I've heard it's like a discount store, I've heard it's a store where Disney sends old merchandise to sell off ?

What's the real deal ? If you've shopped there before, tell us

It is for Disney cast members only, and it is sort of behind the MK. CMs can bring a guest into this store, so if you know one, ask them to take you. (including TDS CMs).

To be honest, most of the stuff sold there is overstocks, and many of the same items can be found at the various WDW outlet stores in Orlando (like at Premium outlets). For example, after the Disney Marathon, you might see loads of Marathon items. Often the clothing is only in the smallest size, XS, and the largest, XXL. It is hit or miss.

there isn't a store with that exact name, "The Disney Character Connections Store". that is a mix of cast connection (which is as pat said - is for CMs and their guests only), and the general public stores.
open to the public are: character premiere, which is located at the premium outlets on vineland (about 5-10 min from WDW). we go to the one on vineland frequently. it carries a mix of park merchandise, DCL, etc. since the parks now carry sale merchandise (they used to carry only full price), you can find some of the identical items and prices there (note that CP doesn't take discounts, so if you have an AP or other discount, it might be cheaper to buy some items in the parks). there is a ton of clothing, anywhere from 30-50% and more off, mostly 1st quality, some in limited sizes, some footwear, some housewares, home decor, jewelry, limited editions, pins, plush, etc. some items are from a past event, dated, etc. they carry some full price also (candy, etc).
character warehouse is at the premium outlets on international drive, and character corner (this one is not owned by disney, and rather messy and dirty, imho) at lake buena vista outlets.
