Disney Channel Games 2008???

Hal says on his Blog today that Disney Channel has confirmed that Miley Cyrus WILL be participating in BOTH the Games and Concert!I have an event today and then will be flying to Orlando tonight.I may try to check-in while at Walt Disney World,but if not I hope to meet back here with everybody after the DCG 2008 are over for a DIScussion.I AM GOING TO WALT DISNEY WORLD! Yes, "Hannah Montana" fans. Miley Cyrus will be playing in the Disney Channel Games in Orlando.

Confirmation came late Saturday from Disney Channel. Cyrus will perform at a Saturday concert, too, but tickets to that event have been distributed. Jonas Brothers and the Cheetah Girls will take part in the concert and the games, too.

The games will be played 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in Champion Stadium at Disney's Wide World of Sports, off Intertate 4, southwest of Orlando. Due to production changes, Friday events won't be open to the public.

If you can't attend the games, the highlights will become a TV series later this summer on the cable channel.

But Disney is cautioning that people who attend will see just a portion of the action and be removed from what's going on on the field.

"We're inviting people to come and watch, but it's a working production," said Adam Sanderson, senior vice president of brand marketing for the Disney ABC Networks Group. "It's not staged as a sporting event."

Sanderson said there will be plenty of grandstand seating.

"We can't have regular kids on the field," he said. "The talent will be walking around, playing the games. They'll be able to see the talent."

The celebrities will play for charities: Boys & Girls Club, UNICEF, Make-A-Wish and Starlight Starbright.

Disney Channel says the celebrities will come from:

"Camp Rock": Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Alyson Stoner, Jasmine Richards, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Meaghan Jette Martin, Roshon Fegan.

"Hannah Montana": Miley Cyrus, Jason Earles, Mitchel Musso, Moises Arias, Cody Linley.

"The Cheetah Girls One World": Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, Sabrina Bryan, Kunal Sharma.

"Wizards of Waverly Place": Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone.

"The Suite Life of Zack & Cody": Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse, Brenda Song.

"Cory in the House": Kyle Massey, Jason Dolley.

Nevermind, it's really small at the bottom that the international stars will be there.

Last year they sung Hold On and Year 3000 right? Their top singles. So I'm thinking they'll definitely play S.O.S, and maybe WYLMITE since those are their singles. But WYLMITE is slow, so maybe they'll cut that and play a song from Camp Rock with the whole cast (since they'll be there)

I want to know what The Cheetah Girls are going to sing. I love their CD TCG, and I think Fuego is their single as of now right? I really love Do No Wrong, so dance-a-ble!

And since the 4th girl from the new Cheetah Girls movie is going to be there, maybe they'll sing together? I don't know I doubt it.

Mine's 3 miles from WWoS. WWoS only has one entrance, so we have to make a big circle to get there, but in reality, it's like a mile down the street from our hotel.

So it's close, just read horrible things and I'll probably end up sleeping in my car haha.
