Disney Channel Games 2008???

Does anybody know anything about an All Star Party that someone mentioned earlier in the thread? Would that be on Friday do ya think?

Yes,if it happens I think it would be on Friday night-the night before the DCG Concert.It was on Thursday night last year which was the night before the 2007 DCG Concert.LAST YEAR it was basically a press event to publicize the 2007 DCG.It was at Epcot in The American Adventure.It of course was not open to the public ,but the Stars were brought in from Backstage through the gate close by The American Adventure(the gate that the Candlelight Processional performers enter through) and we got to see them from about five feet away as they walked by. We would wave and say hello and they would do the same thing.Some people would yell for the different Star's "teams". They were all so nice and so DRESSED UP! Then after the press event they all were escorted down World Showcase Promenade to one of the World Showcase lagoon-side terraces for a PRIVATE IllumiNations Party.IT was really fun to be there,but it was not announced publicly that it would be happening.I just happened to "hear" about it while at WWoS one day. I have NO idea if it will take place again this year,but I would think there will be some kind of a press event.

This is just WILD speculation,but I would think that most,IF NOT ALL,of the DCG Stars will be in the parade.I mean,what would be a reason that they would not want to be in the parade?First of all it will be fun and they are all "fun" people and also they all need to be seen to publicize their shows. Also I would think it will be taped to show portions this Summer during the DCG 2008 programmihg,so I am sure Disney wants as many of the Stars as possible in the parade.I can't wait to see the International Stars in the parade.I would think some of them have never been to WDW or to the United States for that matter so I think they are going to be SO excited in the parade!Block Party Bash is scheduled for 3:00 that day so it appears they are going to have the DCG 2008 Parade and then go right into Block Party Bash.I LOVE all 4 WDW parks so it is going to be so exciting to see the DCG2008 Stars "cruiseing" down Hollywood Boulevard-I don't know if that will ever be "topped"!

Block Party Bash is the NEW parade at DHS.It has only been running a short time at DHS.I was last at WDW in December so I have not seen it yet.I hear it is really good.It has a Pixar theme and a lot of audience interaction.It HAD been running at the Disneyland Resort and was brought to WDW is something like EIGHTEEN tractor-trailers,IIRC.

Thank you Hal Bodecker! I feel like I have been beating my head against a wall for weeks trying to "ease" everyone's concerns in light of the "negativity" that seems to have "suurounded" the 2008 DCG since they were first announced.First it was "The DCG will not be open to the public.",then "There will be a charge to enter Champion Stadium for the DCG.",then "You will not be able to see ANYTHING at the DCG.",etc.etc.! PLEASE tell me there is NO ONE who has read Hal's announcement and STILL thinks the 2008 DCG are not going to be worth going to!I am SO ready for all the "unfounded negativity" to be over with!LOL

What do you think the DCStars parade route will be? We have seen the block party bash at California Adventure, and that layout is such that it is VERY interactive with the audience. Wondering how early we need to stake out a spot so DD can see all of the DCStars up close and personal and also where the best spot might be

Congratulations on breaking the BIG news-you are REALLY on top of your game!I find it "funny" that Hal releases the news before dcgames2008.com and disneychannelgames.com! Way to go Hal!The only missing "Stars" I can think of are Mitchell Musso,Emily Osment,Maiara Walsh and the HSM gang.Do you think some of them will possibly still "sign up"?

Been wondering about the players for this year's Disney Channel Games?

MIley Cyrus is set to participate.

Here's the rest of the lineup confirmed to date: Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Alyson Stoner, Jasmine Richards, Anna Maria Perez and Roshon Fegen of "Camp Rock."

Jason Earles and Moises Arias of "Hannah Montana."

Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, Sabrina Bryan and Kunal Sharma of "The Cheetah Girls One World."

David Henrie, Selena Gomez, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone of "Wizards of Waverly Place."

Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse and Brenda Song of "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody." (Brian Stepanek will serve as host.)

Kyle Massey and Jason Dolley of "Cory in the House."

There will be Disney Channel stars from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Japan.

We had the line-up pretty well nailed, huh? I'm getting so excited! And what made me extra excited was the comment about "artist rendering" opportunities!

Mitchel WAS going to be on tour with Raven ... and announced he wouldn't be participating. But as of today, the tour was cancelled... I'm checking to see if he makes any announcement about being there. And, since it said "the cast confirmed so far.." it sounds like a few more are in the works! We'll see what happens!

No word on her fansites! I can't imagine she wouldn't... maybe she's still unconfirmed for some reason. My only thought is that she COULD be filming a movie. I know she's been working on "Soccer Mom" and "Dadnapped." Anyone know if filming is over on those?
