Disney Channel Games 2008???

Thank you Hal Bodecker! I feel like I have been beating my head against a wall for weeks trying to "ease" everyone's concerns in light of the "negativity" that seems to have "suurounded" the 2008 DCG since they were first announced.First it was "The DCG will not be open to the public.",then "There will be a charge to enter Champion Stadium for the DCG.",then "You will not be able to see ANYTHING at the DCG.",etc.etc.! PLEASE tell me there is NO ONE who has read Hal's announcement and STILL thinks the 2008 DCG are not going to be worth going to!I am SO ready for all the "unfounded negativity" to be over with!LOL

HAL'S NOTE: No. Disney Channel tells me you'll need to tune in to the first episode to learn what team your favorite actors are playing for. "We are really trying to make the viewing experience new," a channel spokeswoman told me."

Looks like we'll have to wait on those people going on Monday and Tuesday to share team colors with us!

There is no fan fest. However, there will be a parade featuring some of the Disney Channel stars at DHS on Wednesday, April 30th @ 2:15pm.

So we WERE close with our speculation! Also you were VERY "exact and accurate" when you said there would not be a Fan Fest in any of the WDW Theme Parks or WWoS! You DIDN'T say there would not be a PARADE! GREAT JOB!I would NEVER have guessed a parade was "in the works"!Was there ever a Fan Fest "tentatively" planned?I think the parade will be AWESOME!By the way,I still am unclear about what the procedure is for me to pick up my All-Access Pass.Do I need a secret password? Thanks so MUCH for your help-you are the BEST!

ONLY becasue when I called the info line at WWoS that is what I was told by a CM. Not the info I wanted to hear. Not posted out of 'unfounded negativity'. At the time I believed what the CM had told me and only wanted to share that info with all interested in going. If this info were true (and I am SO glad it is not) it would cost us almost an additional $80 or so.

Was just passing along info I was given to everyone that was waiting for info.

that they will have a problem if you film any of the taped sequences. But, I'm thinking that if you take a picture, out of the line of the TV cameras, of yourself with a DC star, they may not be upset by that.

I don't think it's realistic to expect that people won't have cameras on their bodies - simply because many people will be coming over from the parks, by WDW transportation, and won't have a place to stow them.

Please accept my apology!To be honest,I didn't remember where I had heard that information-I in no way meant to insult you!I am SO sorry!All I was trying to say is that it has been SO frustrating for me to keep hearing people worrying that there was going to be nothing to see at the 2008 DCG.This happened as recently as yesterday.It was so frustrating to me because I KNEW that would not be the case!I knew there was NO way that Disney was going to allow the public in Champion Stadium knowing the whole time there would be nothing to see and that everybody would go away mad and disappointed!I don't blame you AT ALL for the inaccurate information-all you were doing was reporting what a Cast Member told you.Again I am SO SORRY I offended you.That was not my intent WHATSOEVER!

Good points,but both the DCG2008.com and disneychannelgames.com sites do specifically prohibit cameras and recording devices,so just to be on the safe side,I am only going to carry my artist tool into the stadium.

Yeah Jonas Brothers fans are CRAZY!!! I went to see then at Universal for Ellen's show and girls were not only screaming like SOOOOO LOUD, but even before the show they were chanting, and singing their songs. They were all so loud when Ellen interviewed them they had to give them a special mic. and restart a couple times because it was so loud, while all the staff were telling us to be quiet !! IT WAS CRAZY BUT VERY VERY FUN!!!!! Also they all are very pushy... they will do anything to get to the front.. I am expecting everyone to be tight together!!!

My ears are still ringing from when I got autographs from Jonas Brothers at DCG 2007.I have never heard anything like it in my life.A jet engine is MUCH quieter than what I heard that day!LOL

This is our first year attending and we are planning the whole week there. I, like everybody else, am trying to gather as much info as possible. I will not be much for surprises after a 13+hour drive.

Now the decision to go or not to go to DHS on Wednesday! Our initial plan was no parks, only MK on Friday night for PP&P!
