Disney Channel Games 2008???

Been wondering about the players for this year's Disney Channel Games?

MIley Cyrus is set to participate.

Here's the rest of the lineup confirmed to date: Joe Jonas, Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, Demi Lovato, Alyson Stoner, Jasmine Richards, Anna Maria Perez and Roshon Fegen of "Camp Rock."

Jason Earles and Moises Arias of "Hannah Montana."

Adrienne Bailon, Kiely Williams, Sabrina Bryan and Kunal Sharma of "The Cheetah Girls One World."

David Henrie, Selena Gomez, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone of "Wizards of Waverly Place."

Dylan Sprouse, Cole Sprouse and Brenda Song of "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody." (Brian Stepanek will serve as host.)

Kyle Massey and Jason Dolley of "Cory in the House."

There will be Disney Channel stars from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Japan.

The games will be played 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 28, April 29 and May 1 at Disney's Wide World of Sports at the Walt Disney World Resort. The schedule for May 2 is still to be determined.

"We're inviting people to come and watch, but it's a working production," said Adam Sanderson, senior vice president of brand marketing for the Disney ABC Networks Group. "It's not staged as a sporting event."

He said there will be "plenty of seating" in the grandstand.

"We can't have regular kids on the field," Sandeson said. "The talent will be walking around, playing the games. I think we'll have some video screens again. They'll be able to see the talent, and the talent often comes over and signs autographs and takes photos."

The celebrities will play for charities: Boys & Girls Club, UNICEF, Make-A-Wish and Starlight Starbright.

Sanderson said the challenges this year will be visually bigger so they come across well on television. The games will air as five half-hour shows starting in late July.

"Everybody is out there to have fun," Sanderson said. "It makes for great programming. Our audience gets to see more of them as real people. It's cool that you get to see them out there being regular teens."

Peformances from a May 3 concert, which is sold out, will be incorporated in the half-hours.

and the Disney rep recommending against it. I went to a Jonas Brothers' concert in March and I swear it was the LOUDEST concert I'd ever been to! Maybe it's just that I'm getting old or maybe the decibel level of the screaming girls was higher than anything I've ever experienced. LOL

I was there with my friend and our daughters. My friend's ears didn't stop ringing for about a week! I'm 5 years older but obviously cooler, because mine stopped ringing by the time I got home. LOLOLOL :)

We also went to Miley/Hannah in November and it's not that the music is too loud, it's the constant screeching from thousands of little girls. I've been to lots of concerts and that was by far the loudest.

I'm very happy, all three of my disney crushes will be there! Haha.

I agree! We were at the Sunrise show in November and it was THE loudest concert I've ever encountered. I grew up going to them OFTEN and I've never heard anything like it before. The screaming was INSANE! :scared1:

Does this mean we can bring cameras to the games themselves? Just not the concert? I would think that because it's being taped there wouldn't be any cameras allowed to either.

So we know there are four teams, I'm guessing same colors as last year then, Yellow, Blue, Red and Green.

SarahV - thanks for the full lineup! I'm excited as ALL of my DDs favorite DC stars will be there. :cool1: Now, on to logistics :goodvibes - where do you find the parade route for DHS? Just how sunny/humid is it going to be in the next couple of weeks? I'm in AZ and we are anywhere from low 70s w/high wind to upper 90s this time of year. I have to be practical with the packing. Are we going to work on a specific meet time & place for the DISBoard folks? I'm dying to show my gratitude in person

I think that may have just been said by accident? I am not sure, but if you get in trouble you can show them that quote! Haha, kidding.

The ten day forecast right now for orlando shows highs in the 80s (which is nice!) and lows in the 60s up until Saturday with only slight chance (below 20% most days) of rain! I would just go to msn.com and click weather type in orlando, and just keep checking the 10 day forecast!

I have to just add my two cents on this. I've been to the HM/JB last year and the JB earlier this year - BOTH times, my littlest (7) complained about the noise. I completely concur with what everyone else is saying - it's not the volume of the music, but the volume of the crowd. I can't imagine anyone under at least four or five being able to really enjoy the show. I've been to the old school Metallica/GNR type shows and the JB and HM/JB shows were MUCH louder.

Thank you - I know. We spoke with the pediatrician who recommended ear plugs if we cannot get a sitter. We are sitting in the seats so I am hoping we are back far enough that it wont be an issue if we have to bring the baby. But worse case - I am sending my hsusband out and to the hotel with the baby =) I have worked too hard for this.

Thanks you guys - I have seen a couple of other replys too. I havent been to any Jonas Bros or HM or anything like that - we took my son when he was 4 to Rascal Flatts and it was in an outdoor venu and wasnt too bad. I was comparing this to that likeness and hoping if we had to bring the baby it wouldnt be that bad. But apparently I have no idea what I am about to experience =) Looks like my hubby will be spending a quiet, relaxing evening in the hotel if we cant make it work with the babysitter.

Yeah Jonas Brothers fans are CRAZY!!! I went to see then at Universal for Ellen's show and girls were not only screaming like SOOOOO LOUD, but even before the show they were chanting, and singing their songs. They were all so loud when Ellen interviewed them they had to give them a special mic. and restart a couple times because it was so loud, while all the staff were telling us to be quiet !! IT WAS CRAZY BUT VERY VERY FUN!!!!! Also they all are very pushy... they will do anything to get to the front.. I am expecting everyone to be tight together!!!
