I have what I think is a pretty good story in my head, but it's also probably unrealistic as to what they would do.
Lando is the President of the Republic, Han is General, Leia is Lando's top advisor.
Han/Leia's son was trained by Luke to be a Jedi, took on last name Skywalker, which caused rift between him and Han.
The son has grown close to Lando.
Scandals have been popping up lately, including missing credits/misuse of credits. After yet another missing credits scandal, Han & Leia tell Lando he needs to step down.
Outburst by Lando, who takes off, convincing Han/Leia's son to go with him.
Lando arrives on outer rim planet, where we see the missing credits have gone to building a new Imperial fleet.
The Imperial general is revealed to be Boba Fett, who has survived the sarlaac.
Meanwhile, Luke has also been training Han/Leia's daughter and another Jedi apprentice, a young male. Lando's own son saw him as corrupt and had grown closer to Han.
Han, Luke, Chewie, Artoo, Threepio, Lando's son, Han's daughter, and the new Jedi apprentice take off in the Falcon and locate Lando on the outer rim planet.
In a battle, Han shoots first and kills Lando, who he thought had kidnapped his son. The son sees this and believes Lando was right, his parents were power hungry and would do anything to rule the galaxy. As Han & his son argue, Boba Fett finally gets his man, and kills Han. The son could've alerted his father, but chose not to.
The enemy is closing in on the heroes, as Luke steps up to battle. Luke and Han's son get into lightsaber duel, with Luke grazing the son's face and neck before the son can chop Luke down, killing him. The son is disfigured on the left side of his face.
Chewie, Artoo, Threepio, Lando's son, Han's daughter, and the Jedi apprentice espace in the Falcon back to Coruscant.
Spinoff Boba Fett movie can start with him fighting his way out of the sarlaac up until we see him in Ep 7.
Ep 8. would feature the new heroes (Lando's son, Han's daughter, and the new Jedi) against the combo of Han's son (dark jedi) and Boba Fett. Boba Fett is killed for good in Ep 8.
A few moments that would be holy $*&# moments in the theater -
Seeing Boba Fett alive
Seeing Han shoot first and kill Lando
Seeing Boba Fett finally getting his man - the death of Han Solo
Seeing Luke Skywalker die on screen
