Just had to post this full report because there is so little information on Disney Car Care and I didn't even know about it until we needed it.
First off itis AAA Care Care so having an AAA card at WDW is a very good thing. It is run by good year and work done their is warrenteed for a year at any good year service center.
We arrived on Dec 22nd for Christmas and on the way home from DTD we heard a massive and sustained grind in the rear wheel well. Pulled over thinking it was a flat. It wasn't and we couldnt see any obstruction. As such, we determined it must be a wheel or braking system failure...UT OH. Lots of heavy slamming in Orlando Christmas traffic must have finished whatever it was off.
We limped back to Old Key West, thankfully only a mile away.
Did some research and found out about AAA Care Care that is on-site. First thought was, they are going to overcharge us for everything.
We saw it opened at 8am. Called them at 8:15 and they were at our place by 8:30 !!!! Examined the car and we agreed to have it towed away so they could fix it on the 24th.
1pm on the 24th it was all fixed. The rear drums were totally gone and the front pads were in need of replacement. We had them do everything as well as an oil change for $500. That's not bad for that kind of work on Christmas Eve!!!!!
So we used the Disney buses and our vacation didn't miss a beat and we got our car back in time for checkout the day later. Disney saved Xmas and also maybe our lives as the brake system was so bad. How convenient is that and how much did they save us in vacation time and stress.
The only drawback is you do have to goto the ticket and transport center for them to pick you up. But seeing all parks connect to that, it is a minor issue.
So please keep them in mind. They were all wonderful and honest.
