Try the Transportation board - lots of people there have done it. https://www.disboards.com/forums/transportation.16/Has anyone stayed at a disney resort and rented at the car care rental place through Alamo. They say it is on property right there. Wondering if better to rent from airport? Wasn't sure where I would post about this topic.
Why would you do the airport if you had it all week long? Just wondering. I’m undecided on McO or CCC.I rented from the National at the CCC in Dec, 2020. If you were going to have the car for the whole trip I would rent from the airport. If you are only going to need it for one or two days I'd rent from CCC. They picked me up from POP, brought me to the CCC, I was out with the car in 10 minutes. Dropped it off and they had me back to the resort in 10 minutes.

Right now it’s about $250 cheaper through CCC. MCO is so expensive.Often - not all the time, but enough to check both locations - MCO will have a cheaper rate.

If you are going to use it all week, then there is much less incentive to deal with the magical express and those time delays. Assuming the cost is close between the two. If it is a $250 difference I'd put up with the lost time on the front end.Why would you do the airport if you had it all week long? Just wondering. I’m undecided on McO or CCC.
We have never done ME before. So plan on taking there and getting car from CCC. Can you explain time delays. I heard it was smooth. If you are going to use it all week, then there is much less incentive to deal with the magical express and those time delays. Assuming the cost is close between the two. If it's smooth it's probably 90 minutes or it can take three hours. I can get off a SW flight, grab my bags, my car from Hertz and be at WDW in an hour.We have never done ME before. So plan on taking there and getting car from CCC. Can you explain time delays. I heard it was smooth.
I appreciate all this information. We are coming in on a Friday afternoon from Jet Blue and grand Floridian is our first stay. Not sure if I should just suck up the cost although it’s a lot.If it's smooth it's probably 90 minutes or it can take three hours. In the current environment, depending on what airline you come into you may have to collect your bags on A side, go up to terminal level, across the entire airport, down on B side where ME departs from. In prior years it wasn't as big of an issue because you didn't have to get your bags yourself. You may have to wait for the ME bus to fill up, or you might have just missed one. It might be going to 4 other resorts before yours.

They can also help with your question about availability and long waits for rental cars at MCO. It might depend on which company you're renting through. We rented from Budget in November and had no problem using their FastBreak system, meaning we went straight over to the cars and didn't have to wait in line.Thank you ... just posted there! What company? Since you talk about dropping at CCC I'm assuming either Alamo or National. If it's National you shouldn't have any problems if you join the Emerald Club and have all of your information filled out in your profile. If it's Alamo, I was able to fill everything out on my profile, skip the counter and go straight to my car in November when I rented with them in DEN. Most of the issues with long lines are the "lesser" rental companies that don't have the online presence and are more popular with those that are simply looking for the cheapest rate.Right now we have a ressie to pick up at MCO and drop off at Car Care Center ... as we are staying a couple extra days and don't need it. I have heard not so good things about picking up at MCO - long lines - no availability. Wondering if I check in online and use kiosk if that helps at all...also hoping the variety of Standard SUVs available is good at MCO. Have had to wait up to an hour in other locations to get an SUV
