Disney cancelled wishes FP4 tomorrow?!?

Posted about this on the 24-hour thread...I didn't get the e-mail, and Wishes was showing up in my itinerary (main) screen. BUT "Meet Mickey," not Wishes, was listed when I selected change FP selections, etc. Long-story-short, I now have *4* FPs showing on my itinerary for May 22, including Wishes. Something is definitely glitchy.:confused3

Anyone still have a FP for wishes between 5/1 and 5/22?
Yes, 1 member of our party still has one for 5/22. The other 2 have Mickey. I'll keep working to change the remaining 2. Add me to the very pissed off crowd.

For what it's worth, I think they've changed the number being distributed. Though honestly, they should have never had it wrong. They know just fine how many people can fit in a given area. They shouldn't have to guess.

While it's totally unacceptable for them to "oversell", if that happens then they should start cancelling those that made their reservations most recently. I've had that FP since 60 days out. There's no way they are cancelling the most recent first and I'm in that group.

Same. I booked ours at 1 AM on day 60.

I really think the idea of over selling is probably the least likely scenario. They may be adjusting how many they release on any given day, but I seriously doubt they'd over book and then have to pull back.

It's all just guessing and my guess is they'll get it sorted out. I'm voting for yet another glitch and they'll straighten it out.

But worrisome and inconvenient for those immediately affected, that's for sure.

I've had mine since 60 days as well. Stayed up til midnight to get it and have been unable to get it replaced. I guess I will try calling tomorrow. So far, Disney messed up my reservations, failed to ship my magic bands & now they've cancelled my wishes FP. I sure hope my vacation goes better than the planning!

You know, now that you mention MB, one of my sets hasn't shipped either. We are doing a triple split stay so I got 2 sets but the first set didn't ship out yet.

I sure hope so to for your sake.

I am remembering that a few week as ago, someone had posted that a bunch if FAstpasses for wishes became available
.

If this isn't s glitch, I am wondering if they decided they let too many have a fastpass. I also wonder when folks, who had theirs cancelled, originally booked.(looks like some booked at 60, so that theory may not be a good one)

It does stink either way.

Ours are still there for now. We booked at 60 days, but later in the day. (We did get our MB's.)

That is so distressing. I'm so sorry all that happened. I just called the number at the bottom of the cancellation email and got through immediately. That was after I was on hold for 20 minutes on the regular WDW hotline then finally realized there was a different number to call. They replaced my FP but it's one of those Select One Experience ones and you have to click on details in MDE to see that it is for Wishes. Hopefully it works. Give them a call and try to get yours back. Bonus - they let me keep the other FP so now I have 4 for that day.

Good news. Did they have any explanation for what happened?

I can't call, DH is around. The trip is a surprise for him. I'll try in the morning when I get to work

They just said it was a glitch with no further explanation. Fantastic surprise for your DH! He will be thrilled! Let us know how it goes when you call in the morning. Fingers crossed!

I'm glad that Disney is fixing the issue and getting FP+s back for those who lost it. I have to admit, though, it concerns me that their system is still this glitchy. I hope everyone who had an issue with this contacts Disney in writing. They really need to improve their IT infrastructure as they continue with their very IT dependent systems in the future.

I totally agree. While I'm relieved things worked out, this never should have happened in the first place. Disney's systems need to be more reliable. They need to get it together and stop giving us aneurysms.

By the way, how does one write to Disney and get it to the right place? Is this via email or snail mail? Do you have an email or mailing address?

I knew Disney had a glitchy unpredictable IT system before FP+ was a ever mentioned on these boards. You can't tell me Disney didn't know they had a glitchy IT system. Yet they chose to move forward and make ride access dependent on that very system.

I'm now convinced that Disney saw all this glitchiness in the system as inevitable and the Vanellope character in Wreck it Ralph was created specifically to try to make glitches seem adorable rather than a total nuisance and a time suck.

LOL, they were trying to make "glitchy" trendy!

Even worse, still, they have a system that doesn't work 100% and they don't fix all the existing issues before trying to add more features. It's got to be the most frustrating IT department of any major company in the world. I often say that it evident they put Goofy in charge of the IT, with Donald as his VP

No system works 100% of the time. In this day and age, it's a matter of seconds between a problem happening and the whole of the Dis knowing about it. I think that somewhat blows the problems out of proportion. So every few weeks it would seem there's a glitch for someone somewhere in the world. I don't see that as a massive failure.

And I certainly don't see it as yet another reason not to implement MDE and FP+. If they wait for perfection, it will never happen. They seem to take care of them as they should when they happen and it's rare that someone actually suffers any permanent consequences.
