Disney cancelled my FP+ - I rebooked

So I just got two emails from Disney cancelling my FP+ for two different parades. They replaced them with the Laugh Factory and a Meet Mickey. Not sure how they came up with these, maybe by seeing that I wasn't interested in seeing either of these and they felt I should.

Anyway, I logged into MDE and was then able to rebook the exact same FP+ at the exact same time. So why did Disney cancel mine? And then why didn't they just rebook me at the same thing?

I got email today, too. They had cancelled my MSEP and gave me Monsters Inc, too. I changed the Monsters Inc to Pirates.

I had to call but after a few attempts we got a special fastpass for FOF set for 9 people again
Was worried cause a spent time getting that set up for the whole group lol

I have a feeling there are plenty of folks who just don't know or aren't on the DISboards to know how to handle these types of glitches and take the email at its word. If I weren't here to see posts of similar issues with FP+, I probably wouldn't think to call either.

Here's hoping they are "glass half full" folks who are pleasantly surprised that the parades are still on and view it as a pixie dust moment - rather than "half glass empty" folks who would feel angry or disappointed about their lost FP+.
