Disney Canada to make special announment today?

What is the Disney Tour that is coming to Toronto on Wednesday September 24th? Where exactly in Toronto is it going to be? Does anyone know? I know it is some sort of giveaway where you can win trips and things like that .. I have searched and searched and have come up with nothing.

thanks

Outside Union Station starting at 6am

This means nothing to me :( My birthday is on Christmas Day... and there's no way I'm spending it with half the population of the world at WDW. LOL I would love to spend it in WDW but it would be just too crowded for me to enjoy. So.... boohoo... same old same old for this Disney fan.

Too bad about the Disney Visa, i figured the promo would be something specific to Canada.. :sad2:

The Disney visa has offers of free Dining to card members on dates in Oct, Nov and Dec :headache:

Darn!

We'll be at WDW in less than 2 months! This promotion does not start until 2009 and we'll be there on my DW's birthday :(

Next year, we won't be on our Disney Cruise until December of 2009 so we'll miss out again. (Also, i don't think the promotion includes the cruise line)

My brother was at WDW in August with his family, just before school started. They drove down from Brantford and booked everything through CAA travel. Because they did, they got free dining, or something like that.

My birthday is the same day! :)

I'm not impressed by this promotion. It's just Disney's attempt to persuade people to travel at different times a year. There will actually be only a small number of guests who can take advantage of it. Because of work and school obligations, we must travel at certain times of year and none of our birthday's fall into those breaks.

I hear you on the free ticket on your birthday thing - DH and I both have b-days REALLY close to Christmas, and DS is July 4th! Not likely that we'd be there ON our actual birthdays. DD on the other hand is in April . . .

Who is going to go to Union Station next week for all the Disney Madness?

Stephanie

They havebeen offering free dining Aug/Sept to general public for a few years, but this is th first time they offer it OCt/Nov/Dec but only to Disney Visa members :sad2:

To be fair, there have been lots of times over the years that Disney had specific offers for Canadians only or that we were given a 'jump start' on a promotion. :)

It's just Disney's attempt to persuade people to travel at different times a year.

lol...of COURSE it is. Does anyone out there actually believe that Disney has done this out of the 'goodness of their hearts'? Of course not, THEY ARE A BUSINESS. I can't get over how many people don't actually see that Disney is a corporation first and foremost. What they are doing is 'Marketing 101' to drum up different business for them. :thumbsup2

I agree with the fact that Disney is a "business" first and always will be, they need to make good marketing and business choices. Yes folks, behind all that magic and pixie dust, there is a business.

If you were a client and sat down with a TA and knew relatively little about Disney and wanted to book a vacation.....when you found out that if you went on your Birthday you were going to get the "special treatment" , you would think it was GREAT!

I too have my birthday in the middle of the summer and already have a trip booked for May, so we will not be able to take advantage of this, BUT, I think it is a great promotion and a good business decision for Disney.

6am lol im not a morning person My birthday is Christmas Eve, but thought I would register anyhow ... who knows. Thanks for the reply!!
