Disney Cameras for kids??

Today we were in Best Buy and I saw these really cute Disney digital cameras for kids....they had a few designs, Mermaid, Princess, Pirate. They were about $40 and the package says they take up to 200 pictures. Does anyone know anything about these? I want to get them for my DDs (age 6 1/2) for our upcoming trip. Do you know if you can get the pictures from those cameras printed out at Target or Costco, or do you have to print them on your own printer??

Those kind of cameras are basically portable webcams. You most likely won't get any kind of a nice clear picture out of them. I have an old one from WWF at home.

In order to print the pictures at a Target or something you would have to download the pictures to your computer and then burn them to a CD as I don't think they would have a removable memory card.

To be very honest you'll get nicer pictures out of disposable cameras. You can let your DDs decorate them with Disney stickers too if you want them to be more "fun"

unfortunately it's true. I bought mine on "Black Friday" last year, they were originally $80 for $50 and the higher end camera for the Disney camera. I wasn't happy with the pictures at all. They were grainy. I'm searching for a camera now for my 10 year old, but it looks like $100-$120 is the best I could do for a digital.

I did not see any kids cameras that held so many photos. The ones I saw were about $16-$21 and held 24 pictures. These look good though for me since my kids are younger.

There were two series of cameras that featured theming with Tinkerbell, Cars, HSM, and Pirates, among others. The entry level Pix Micro retailed for $20 and did not feature an LCD. For $50 you bump up to the Pix-Click which does have a screen but is LESS than a megapixel. Fun idea... horrible execution. I thought about getting the Cars camera for DS5, but thought better of it when I saw the stats.
