Disney Buys Pixar (deal is done..)

Mickey Mouse and Nemo are now corporate cousins. Walt Disney has announced that it is buying Pixar, the animated studio led by Apple head Steve Jobs, in a deal worth $7.4 billion.

I was wondering the same thing. Rosemarie here.
A few days ago I posted that my dh, I, and my 2 kids can make it to the dinner meet after the Ice Show. I posted this to KimRaye on hte Chicago Disers board. Haven't heard back from her yet. I met you all at the Ginos East -Rolling Meadows meet in Feb or March 2005.

Thanks for the Disney/Pixar info. Heard about it earlier today.

I was so against this acquisition. However, John Lassetter as the head of feature animation for Disney/Pixar makes this a GREAT move in my opinion.

DH's comment is now that Steve Jobs is on the board, he'll probably push for them to dump ABC.

well looking at all the reports, i see that they moving all of the pixar guys to the leadership positions at disney animation, so now pixar will be disney animation. and john lasseter will be in charge of imagineering, so now we may get that monster's inc. roller coaster, (hope i can keep holding on to that door).
