I found this interesting:

https://www.ocbj.com/news/walt-disney-co-buys-anaheim-warehouse-for-124-million/

Disney acquired a 400K sq ft warehouse in Anaheim for a staggering $124M. They were already tenants in the building although it’s unclear if there are others and Disney is growing its space or just being the landlord. The building is a few miles from the DLR, so not part of an expansion plan but rather long term storage for park items.

So now you know where the holiday decorations/ etc. are stored at.

The price makes sense. My company recently bought a 104,000 sq foot facility, not just warehouse, for $49mil 2 years ago. We’re out in the suburbs about 80 miles from Anaheim.

There were a couple properties boarding the Toy Story parking lot and the parking garages that during Covid went up for auction and sold for cheap. I bet Disney regrets not acquiring them… or maybe they figured they weren’t strategic enough and didn’t want to get into a bidding war.
