My DH and I are debating how to get from the hotel/airport to the port. We are traveling with my parents, and this is their first Disney cruise. (It will be our third...first was our honeymoon and soon after the second, we got pregnant!) Anyway, I love the Disney bus because the atmosphere and the video always get me teary with excitement...(I'm such a sap), and I think it would be fun for my folks. My husband feels that a limo that picks us up at the hotel and takes us directly to the port would be faster and more efficient, even though it's a tiny bit more expensive. We're flying in the day before our cruise, and would have to shuttle from the hotel back to the airport to get the bus. Please weigh in with advice...

Thanks!

I've done it both ways and have come to prefer a towncar/limo. When we first started crusing, we always used the Disney bus. I enjoyed the video, but a couple of times we ended up with "sugar kids" behind us. I don't blame the kids, as I know they are jumpy with excitement and it's hard for them to contain themselves, but it's not pleasant to have your seat kicked the whole way! Then we switched to Happy Limo, getting airport hotels via Priceline, taking the shuttle to the hotel, and having the towncar pick us up the next morning. It's great! Sometimes we like to use the free grocery stop, too. Although I miss the video, I ordered the DCL DVD to watch at home and get my fix. We traveled with friends last year and got a limo instead of a towncar, and they had a DVD player with movies that kept us quite busy on the way.

We love Happy Limo! When we went to WDW in May, we used them for the airport/resort roundtrip. I "ordered" a sedan, and ended up getting a big SUV on the way to the resort, and a stretch limo on the way back to the airport. My son was pretty impressed with both rides, and hubby was happy that we only paid for a sedan. lol! The only one who was unphased by it all was the little one (DD3)

If your party has 4 or more people, I believe it's actually a little cheaper to take the limo/towncar service. Also, it's nice to have the luxury of the grocery stop (if needed), and getting to your hotel with no other stops is wonderful ::yes::

If that was my choice I'd choose the limo! :)

We just booked with Happy Limo yesterday. :Pinkbounc We are cruising in Nov. We thought it would be a fun surprise for the kids and a great way to start our vacation.

Have a wonderful cruise with your folks!:wave2:

We're spending a couple of days at WDW before we head off the Magic. We chose Happy Limo also. It was less expensive for us (there are 6 of us) and we'll get there quicker. I'd go for the limo!

Do the limo (and ask for a video in the car). Happy Limo I think even has a coupon on their website. But also check FL Tours as they sponsor these boards.
