the WDW transportation to WWOS is only from MGM. A bus travels between WWOS and MGM from 8AM to 8PM every 20 minutes or so. If you stay past 8PM, you would need to take a taxi back to your resort.

From where? It appears the only transportation to and from Wide World of Sports is from MGM; so, from any resort take the MGM bus to MGM, then switch to the WWoS bus; reverse to return to resort.
From Epcot: Either bus from front of park to MGM, then bus to WWoS; or board from International Gateway to MGM, then bus to WWoS.
From Magic Kingdom: Monorail or ferry to TTC, bus to MGM, bus to WWoS.
From Animal Kingdom: Bus to MGM, then bus to WWoS.
From Downtown Disney: Bus to any resort, then bus to MGM, then bus to WWoS.

I've always wondered which resort is nearest to the WWoS complex. Is it the Pop Century? I believe Disney refers to Pop Century as being in the WWoS area, but not sure if there are any other resorts considered in that same area.

Might be good to know which resort is closest if taking a taxi. Could save a few dollars if needing to take a taxi on the return trip by taking taxi to the nearest Disney resort, then bus to DTD, then to resort. I'm not sure, just a thought.

Pop Century is the closest resort to WWOS for the taxi example. Its probably a $5 plus tip ride.

However, I would pay the additional money to go to my resort (max of $20 if staying at the GF. The WDW transportation would take over an hour.
